Hey- you're probably wondering why I created this channel. Well actually you probably thought "huh another page like request, don't care" and did not and will not think about this ever again. Anyways, something I'm very passionate about is the freedom to have your opinions and express them in a respectful manner with respectful dissent.
Maybe it's Trump, maybe its the unintended consequences of giving anonymized voices to everyone via social media, I don't know. But to me, there's an utter lack of pe*******on in discourse beyond our socioeconomic, political, educational (not just level of education but WHICH college you went to), professional, and ethnic barriers.
I've started a little experiment - for now, I'm putting myself and 3 other people I know but don't know each other in a 30-min Zoom room meeting. Each person gives me three things they want to discuss (anything) beforehand and then we basically get through those. Then I'll edit to a 5-7 minute piece of "compelling" *fingers crossed* content. I'm working on this proactively, but I'm open to literally anyone doing this with me - I'll try to be doing this on weeknights whenever my capacity allows. All I ask is that if you do participate and think it was a fun time, refer someone else in your circle to be a part of one going forward.
I'll be releasing the first one soon-ish to give you (and me) an idea of what the final product can look like. Hope you enjoy - and stay inside!
