Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe displayed their chemistry in Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-0 victory against AC Ajaccio on Friday at the Estadio François-Coty.

Messi assisted in both Mbappe goals; meanwhile, Mbappe assisted in Messi’s lone goal. An ESPN pundit is swooning over the two players’ connection on the pitch. Frank Leboeuf labeled the performance by Messi “absolutely perfect.”

“The chemistry between them worked perfectly,” Leboeuf said on Friday’s edition of ESPN FC. “They try to look for each other. Two assists and one goal for Messi, one assist and two goals for Mbappe. Perfect couple, perfect evening for both of them.

If PSG is going to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy at the end of the season, they’ll need their superstar players on the same page, which appears all three are on to start the 2022-23 season.

Kylian Mbappe 43 Goals : Pochettino Reviews,
Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 3-0 win over minnows Feignies-Aulnoye in Sunday's Coupe de France round-of-64 clash.

PSG never looked in danger of suffering an upset against their fifth-tier opponents, and they went 2-0 up after 30 minutes through penalties from Mbappe and Mauro Icardi.

Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was withdrawn at the interval on just his second appearance for the Parisians, perhaps not the best sign as he continues his recovery from injury, before Mbappe added a third goal early in the second period.
The Ligue 1 leaders, who have lifted the trophy in six of the last seven seasons, continued to create chances but ultimately fell short of adding gloss to the scoreline.

PSG went ahead in the 16th minute through Mbappe's penalty after the France international had been brought down inside the area by Ibrahima Diedhiou.

Icardi, who had earlier seen an effort ruled out for offside, inexplicably struck the post from close range midway through the first half, although he made amends on the half-hour mark, stroking home from the spot after Mbappe had been fouled by Gary Gerard Marigard.

Mbappe blazed wide when clean through as PSG failed to add to their tally before the interval, despite taking a whopping 20 shots in the first half.

The 22-year-old grabbed his second in the 51st minute, slotting home Colin Dagba's cut-back from the right.

PSG teenager Ismael Gharbi was denied a first professional goal by substitute goalkeeper Jordan Fernand inside the final 20 minutes as PSG booked their place in the next round with the minimum of fuss.

What does it mean? No complacency from Pochettino's men

By naming the likes of Mbappe, Icardi and Marco Verratti in his starting XI, Mauricio Pochettino made it clear he was not taking PSG's significantly less illustrious opponents lightly.

The one concern from an otherwise routine affair was the withdrawal of Ramos at the interval. It has been a hugely disrupted start to life in France for the former Los Blancos star, and it will be hoped any new setback does not keep him out for long.

Mbappe's constant threat

Unsurprisingly, Mbappe was too hot to handle for Feignies-Aulnoye's defence. The World Cup winner won both penalties, the first of which he converted, and he scored a second goal in a display brimming with his usual blend of electric pace and skill.

Ebimbe squanders chance to shine

Eric Ebimbe rarely looked like opening his account for PSG during a disappointing showing. The 21-year-old, who was replaced in the 64th minute by Gharbi, had just a single shot on target and failed to play a key pass in a display that will surely be considered a missed opportunity.

What's next?

Runaway Ligue 1 leaders PSG play their last game of 2021 on Wednesday when they travel to Lorient.

Transfer Update: Loan Deal with Moise Kean expires in 2022, Everton has eyes on him...
Moise Kean will play his last matches to Paris Saint-Germain in this weekend. His loan will expire next month and his future is still uncertain.
Nonetheless, for Kean to remain with the French giants, but Les Parisiens will need to pay a significant transfer fee to keep the striker. According to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano (via Foot01), Everton FC asks between €45-million and €50-million for Kean.
With PSG making upgrades to different positions they will not pay that much of fee.
As a result, if Kean departs and no transfer sum from an Italian side catches their attention, Icardi could remain in Paris for another season.

Update: Kylian Mbappe and Presnel Kimpembe to join France National team in Euro 2020...
Mbappe and Kimpembe have been regulars for the French national team over the past year. Mbappe has well established himself as a starter for the Blues while Kimpembe went on to earn key starts against the likes of Portugal in UEFA Nations League play.
Both players will be aiming to help France win the upcoming Euros.
It will be a challenge with Germany and Portugal in their group.
For now Mbappe and Kimpembe will finish their Season after playing Coupe de-france Finalagainst Monaco and Ligue 1 Final match against Brest.

Mbappe reached the 40 goal mark in a single season and he equals his own record of scoring most goals in a single season.
He has 26 Ligue 1 goals, 8 UEFA Champions League goals and 6 Coupe De France goals in just 43 overall appearances, to reach the 40 goals mark.

Transfer Update: "Messi is Torn", Former Argentina World Cup Winner says..
Lionel Messi's contract with FC Barcelona extends next month and the Spanish side wants him to stay at Spain. Meanwhile one former player advises that the Argentina international should depart Spain.
In an interview with Sport Bild (via Diario AS), "Mario Kempes", who won the 1978 FIFA World Cup with Argentina, advises his compatriot to seek greener pastures with another big club in Europe considering Barcelona’s financial situation.
•Kempes stated: “Messi is torn. He is very comfortable in Barcelona, but he realizes that winning the Champions League again with Barça is few. In recent years Barcelona has always been eliminated very early, and the club is having great difficulties in building a new winning team due to the financial situation. Transfer Update: Italian Media Outlet Reveals the price PSG would accept for a potential transfer for Mauro Icardi.
PSG is not actively shopping the player but it is his wife and agent Wanda Nara, to work on a potential transfer that meets the French giants asking price.
According to La Repubblica, PSG is ready to take a loss on its initial investment they made on Icardi when they spent €50-million for the former Inter Milan captain.
If Icardi wants to return to Italy, the striker and his wife need to fetch an offer from a club that’s at least €35-million. As Les Parisiens could be open to offloading his wages this summer, it opens the door for any club to pay the cash for a transfer.
The Italian Media Outlet reports that Juventus FC is the prime candidate who can pay the transfer fee.

Transfer Update: Mauro Icardi to leave PSG back to Italian League.
Mauro Icardi endured an excellent first campaign with Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored 20 goals in 34 fixtures. However, this season, it’s been difficult for the 28-year-old who has scored 12 goals in 26 fixtures.
As a result, the capital club is open to letting Icardi depart to free up his wages but isn’t actively shopping the player. Any transfer now falls on the striker’s agent, Wanda Nara.
Italian football journalist Nicolò Schira tweeted out that Nara is in contact with two clubs to help with the transfer of her husband back to Italy. Schira states that Nara has opened talks with Juventus FC and AC Milan.
Meanwhile, PSG is open to keeping Icardi if no club is willing to meet their asking price.

Transfer Update:Paris Giants have eyes on Sergio Ramos in the upcoming season.
According to Foot Mercato, the French giants have an offer for Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, one that Los Blancos can’t afford to match. The 35-year-old’s contract expires next month, and as of now, there’s no extension between Ramos and the Spanish giant.
The French media outlet reports that PSG is ready to offer a two-year contract with an additional year as an option.
The La Liga side wants him to remain on their squad, but they would like for Ramos to lower his salary demands, which is something it appears the player isn’t willing to do right now.

Report: Current Paris Saint-Germain Forward is set to participate in both Copa America and 2020 Tokyo Olympics this Summer.
Further Neymar has already won a Gold medal in Olympics but yet to win in Copa America.
However PSG much prefers that Neymar elects only one of these tournaments.
