Actress Ireti Doyle Confirms Divorce From Husband

Actress, Ireti Doyle, has confirmed that she and her ex-husband, Patrick Doyle, a broadcaster, are officially divorced.

The Nollywood veteran made this known during a chat with Chude Jideonwo on his show .

In a clip from this interview which she shared on Friday via her Instagram page, the actress said, "We are officially divorced."

The couple got married in 2004.

PANIC AS OYO RESIDENT RECEIVE THREAT FROM ROBBERS.

Residents of Ifelagba Community in Oyo State have been thrown into panic after a threat letter from armed robbers was received by the community.

The letter was reportedly sent to the community on Friday evening, written in Yoruba language. Ifelagba is located in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The robbers stated that they were ready to overpower the vigilantes in the area that had made robbery operations difficult for them, while telling the residents to prepare for their monies and properties to be taken away from them

The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, on Saturday, stated that it was right for the successor of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to come from the South in 2023.

According to Channels Television, Ortom spoke at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium during the inauguration of the Peoples Democratic Party state campaign in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State, where he also stated that he was the first governor from the North to back southern presidency.

He said this was in the interest of fairness and justice.

Ortom, one of the aggrieved five governors of the PDP, seeking the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, said, “Nigerians, for the sake of equity, fairness and justice, expect that after eight years of President Buhari, the next President should go to the south irrespective of political affiliation and that is the right thing to do. We are Nigerians and we must ensure that all of us work together.”

The Benue governor said Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was the right candidate to succeed Buhari but “enemies of progress” ensured he didn’t win the party’s presidential primary in May

Arrest, Detention Prepared Me For Future -Cute Abiola

Skit maker, Abdulgafar Abiola aka Cute Abiola, on Wednesday, marked the first anniversary of his arrest and subsequent detention by the Navy for flouting the social media rules of the Force.

Cute Abiola had been detained without the knowledge of his family in 2021, which caused his wife to raise an alarm on social media about his whereabouts.

Recalling the experience in a Facebook post, he said, "Today being 16th November 2022 makes it exactly one year I was arrested and detained by the Nigerian Navy for violating the Force Social Media Regulation, by posting my pictures on social media while on uniform.

"I recalled this voyage with longing memories and I agreed that the torments of those times were efforts by the Navy to prepare me for the numerous tasks ahead.

"Now, the lessons learnt and experience gathered are propelling me towards actualizing my dreams. It’s really a moment to remember."

Cute Abiola had been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State governor on creative industries earlier November.

Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has reacted to the news of Davido and Chioma marriage.
On the 13th of November, news that Davido and Chioma secretly got married hit the internet. As expected, Nigerians congratulated the couple and are happy that there is finally good news in the Adeleke family following the death of Ifeanyi.

The blogger- Gistlover, who shared the news on Instagram claims that Davido got married to Chioma to console her. The blogger also revealed that the ceremony took place at Davido’s father’s house where Chioma’s parents accepted her bride price.

Kemi who has been ranting for days about The Adeleke’s Curse, took to Twitter to reveal the main reason why Davido married Chioma. According to her, Davido married Chioma to claim the dead body of his son. This is in accordance to the customs and Traditions of Igbo land that a child belongs to the father only if the marriage rites, Bride price has been paid.

According to this custom, Kemi Olunloyo revealed that Davido had to pay Chioma’s bride price in order to get his son’s body because if he doesn’t, Ifeanyi’s body will have to be buried by the Rowlands.

CBN to circulate re-designed Naira Come December 2022.

The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has disclosed on Wednesday, 26th of October 2022 that the bank would release re-designed Naira notes by December 15, 2022.

Emefiele added that all existing notes would seize to be regarded as legal tender by January 31, 2023.
Emefiele revealed this during a press briefing in Abuja today.

The CBN said that it is alarming that 85 per cent of the currency in circulation is being stored up by Nigerians.

He further advised Nigerians to proceed to their banks to put in the bank their Naira notes, adding that the deposit fee would be given up for transactions below N150,000.

The redesigning of Naira notes would help to prevent counterfeit notes, as well as hamper ramson payment to terrorists and kidnappers, he added.
