19-year-old LaQuanta Riley was last seen the night of December 7, 2003, when she left her mother’s Montgomery home with an unknown male in a 4-door dark green car similar to a Ford Ta**us or Chevrolet Caprice. A few days after her disappearance, LaQuanta’s mother, Pam Riley Bolden, received a message on her answering machine. The message was hard to understand, but she believes it was a distraught LaQuanta saying “leave me alone” or “let me go home.” Riley said a male could be heard saying LaQuanta’s name just before the call disconnected.
After LaQuanta’s disappearance, investigators discovered her name had been used to rent an apartment in Georgia, but they couldn’t verify whether it was LaQuanta or someone using her identity. Bolden went to the complex and spoke to a resident who told her LaQuanta had moved out just a few days prior to her arrival.
Almost 19 years later, LaQuanta’s whereabouts remain unknown and the investigation into her disappearance is still open and active.
