IT IS WRONG TO THINK YOUR PASTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THESE THINGS HAPPENING IN THE CONGREGATION:

YOUR PASTOR CAN ONLY CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS ON THE ALTAR AND NOT WHAT HAPPENS IN PEOPLE'S HOMES:

STOP BLAMING YOUR PASTOR FOR HOW ADULTS CHOOSE TO LIVE THEIR LIVES:

1. Some men in church chose to marry 2 wives or more. Go and speak to them and stop giving your pastor a bad name. At least your pastor is known with only one wife.

2. Couples who choose to divorce even against pastoral counsel. If they remain there and die, you will still blame your pastor for being too rigid on divorce. The whole world blamed the Pastor of a woman who died some time ago. Yet the pastor was not even aware of any form of maltreatment.

3. Sisters in church who choose to become second wives or any number after the first wife. You know them, go and address them directly. Stop blaming your pastor.

4. Single girls who chose to get pregnant and have a child when marriage was not forthcoming, so as not to arrive at menopause without a child. It is their decision, not the pastor's permission.

5. A man and woman living together without any marriage rites. Will your pastor go and live with them to ensure they are not together?

6. Members who publicly identify with the cults they belong to and are not ready to come out of it. Find out if your pastor is a member and stop blaming him for a matter that is older than the church you worship.

7. Members who are doing yahoo. They told you they are doing it or you just assumed? If you know them go and talk with them directly, instead of giving your pastor a bad name.

IN CONCLUSION:
ALL THESE SETS OF PEOPLE ARE IN EVERY CHURCH ON EARTH. THE BIGGER THE CHURCH, THE HIGHER THE NUMBER YOU HAVE THERE.

WHAT IS MY COUNSEL TO MY FELLOW PASTORS?

JUST EIGHT OF THEM:

1. Don't encourage any of the above with your sermon. Preach against it openly. But don't kill yourself for the sins of any member. Your blood can't save them.

2. Don't drive them away from church. Someone in the hospital is still sick and you want to discharge him or her that way?

3. Don't project them as examples that should be followed. This is how you may spread it in church. They can serve but they can't lead. Know the difference.

4. Don't give them spiritual positions in church. They can handle administrative offices and not spiritual positions.

If the only Architect in church is married to two wives, will you give the drawing of a church building to a member who knows nothing about the drawing of the church building? Or if the only Engineer is divorced, will you abandon him and give a man the job of supervising a building because his marriage is perfect without any engineering knowledge?

5. Don't get too involved with them openly. Action speaks louder than words.

6. Train your church to walk in love as a family. What will your siblings do, that will make you condemn them to die in their sin? Love covers a multitude of sins.

7. Heaven is a personal race, not a church race, allow people to run it the way they understand it. We shall all give account to God and not to our Pastors.

8. Any person blaming you for how adults choose to live their lives, should be avoided. For the sake of your mental sanity.

Before he died, Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement and when his plane arrived there was a limousine waiting to transport him to his home. As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver .

"You know," he said, "I am 87 years old and I have never driven a limousine. Would you mind if I drove it for a while?"

The driver said, "No problem. Be my guest!" Billy gets into the driver's seat and they head off down the highway. A short distance away sat a rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap.

The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone. The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo and he got out of his patrol car to begin the procedure.

The young trooper walked up to the driver's door and when the glass was rolled down, he was surprised to see who was driving.

He immediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor. He told the supervisor, "I know we are supposed to enforce the law, but I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a very important person."

The supervisor asked, "Is it the governor?" The young trooper said, "No, he's more important than that." The supervisor said, "Oh, so it's the president." The young trooper said, "No, he's even more important than that."

The supervisor finally asked, "Well then, who is it?"

The young trooper said, "I think it's Jesus, because he's got Billy Graham for a chauffeur!"

”There's always a temptation to grow impatient if something doesn't happen when we think it should. When prayers aren't answered on our timetable or when dreams don't happen as quickly as we had hoped, we can become restless, which only hurts us in the end. You may feel called to a particular career, but you're not there yet. That's okay. God's not in a hurry, so you shouldn't feel pressured. I encourage you to allow the fruit of the Spirit in you to dominate you—to let the patience on the inside to be displayed on the outside. Galatians 6:9 says, ’And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.’ Now is not the time to ’faint,’ or lose patience, because in due season you shall reap!”

Essential Laws of Leadership and Stewardship

1. Law of compassion Jude 1:22

2. Law of assessment Matt 16:13-16, Mark 8:27-29.

3. The law of passcode 1Sam 10:14-16.

Not everything is said to all. As a leader, you know those who will follow, man is very complex, may God give you understanding

4. The law of foresight Gen 13:14 -15. Followership demands endurance to enjoy it.

5. The law of rugged and absolute support. Never serve whom you can't defend in crisis. John 18:8-10

6. The law of substitution and reward
Ps 109:8, Acts 13:22. Reward people according to their level of contribution to you and your organisation

7. The law of the seal. It states that what is classified should not be advertised. A tale bearer must not be an armor bearer. People must learn to be discreet with secrets. Matt 17:9. In the palace, good stewards see more and talk less.

*David understood the principles of the palace.

* If you want to be a true steward, learn to talk less

You don't have to work in a ministry to be a steward. As a steward, you must be answerable to somebody
