It’s important to steward our children’s health and bodies. But it’s just as important to shepherd their hearts and make sure they don’t develop a negative relationship with food.
This is not a black and white issue. There’s a lot of nuance to it. While I do my best to prioritize nutritious, whole foods and try to minimize non-food ingredients most of the time, I also think it’s okay to have grace when they are exposed to ingredients I don’t prefer (as long as they don’t have any health issues / reactions with that food).
