Michael Tillett's 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo - Carolina Sunset

How do you make an ocean sunset even more beautiful? Sunsets are one of the most magical times of the day. They fill the blue sky with fire, casting shades of red, yellow, pink, purple, and orange. Clouds add texture, making each sunset a completely unique experience. For some, sunsets mark the end of a working day; a transition from the craziness of the day into tranquility of night. Others romance sunsets with fantasies of true love and the promise of a new dawn. Regardless of who you are, Bernard Williams said it best when he said, ‘It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream.’ And dreaming is where it all began for Michael Tillett. Since he was a little boy, Michael dreamed that one day he would flip open a magazine and see photos of his car spread across its pages. Years later, Michael started what would turn out to be a decade long process in restoring his daily driven, 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo into an award-winning SEMA showpiece. Virtually every inch of the vehicle was removed, replaced, retooled, rebuffed, or restored. Upgrades include a V6 power plant out of a Grand National, a Hurst Lightning Rod shifter, chromed engine, chromed underbody, mirror delete, and other tastefully chosen modifications. Michael Tillett’s G-body is a sight to behold. Seeing it in person is like watching a gorgeous sunset perform over the oceans of the Carolinas. Every Car has a Story

Created and Hosted by car enthusiast, Louis Vitiello, Jr., Real Ridez doesn’t just interview or review cars, we spend time with the owner and explore the history of the vehicle. Whether it’s a show car or a daily driver, every car has a story that’s waiting to be heard. From classic cars to modern supercars, Real Ridez provides the story-telling platform delivered in a way which any car enthusiast would appreciate.

Each monthly episode runs approximately 15-minutes and includes two main parts; a walk around interview as well as a ride along interview. The walk around interview allows the viewers to get up close and personal with the vehicle’s styling, customization, and personality; while the ride along interview provides the perfect settling for the vehicle’s passionate owner to tell their story and share the history behind the car.

Louis Vitiello, Jr.

Engineer by day, car enthusiast by night, Louis Vitiello, Jr. has been featured in local news and media and is an award winning public speaker, author, illusionist, and amateur mechanic. His passion for his community and it’s residents are demonstrated through his successful masterminding of one of the largest after-hour networking organizations in Raleigh, NC., Business and Beers, as well as cofounding a local Audi owners club, Triangle Audi Group. In 2015, Louis was recognized with the Western Wake County’s Mover and Shaker award.
