So about 6 weeks ago I became about 75% deaf in my left ear which is my cueing ear for DJIng. Music has been an important part of my life for almost 40 years (yes I’m old) and the biggest concern was not being able to get behind the mixer again.

Tonight is the first set I have done since my hearing loss. It’s not perfect. I felt my timing was off and the mixes were very “safe”. Hard to explain but it was extremely difficult. It’s like listening to a blown speaker. That’s what it’s sounds like in my left ear so I had to basically mix to the muffled sounds.

I will continue to practice and get better mixing with this obstacle. I won’t stop creating though and will try to do this long as I can.

Hope you enjoy the mix! It will get better but I wanted to be transparent and not edit in any way.
