I’m missing Aeipath a little extra tonight. The website lease is coming to an end soon and it does feel a wee bit bittersweet. I certainly don’t have the time or money to continue Aeipath but I had a lot of really amazing memories in its creation. I learnt about the pure kindness of the local music community and connected deeply with some really amazing people. I am forever blown away by your support and kindness. I’m still pondering on the idea of an Aeipath podcast, but I’m not 100% sure of the logistics yet. For now, it’s a goodbye to this wee passion project of mine.
Some closing shoutouts to the amazing people who helped this happen alongside me.
ricketts for your absolute mentorship. I still think of you often and love connecting with your content (esp during nz music month!!). You’ve taught me some really valuable life lessons and I’m forever grateful for the support you gave me. Aeipath could not have happened without you.
seriously, look at those graphics! I can still remember my utter excitement when they first came through to my email. You created the face of Aeipath. With such a small summary you produced a logo that summed up everything Aeipath is. I am so grateful for your help. You’re amazing (and make awesome music too!!))
and for your unconditional support. You provided the shopify, the MYOB and the motivation to keep this project alive. Making it to my regional top 5 with something that hadn’t made a cent was so exhilarating. It taught me that a business doesn’t have to be perfect to help people.
To the artists who featured during Aeipath’s time, thank you. You are the foundation of Aeipath and will also reside with it. The time you took to speak to me was very valuable and made this magazine reach all of its greatness
If there’s one thing I learnt it’s that business isn’t easy, but holy moly is it fun. The best part of this experience has been the exact thing I created it for, the people. Although I’m disappointed Aeipath didn’t reach its full potential and achieve everything I’d hoped it could, it’s still one of the greatest things I’ve created.
Until we meet again,
Sophie
