As a believer in fate, I love it when things just ‘work out’/fall into place. 🌟
So - do you think it’s just a happy/lucky coincidence that ‘Easter’ and ‘ ‘ are anagrams of one another?! Well...probably 😅
But, either way, here you go. As promised, here is the little I’ve been so excited to share since I conceptualised the .
Within the disability community, we want there to be more conversation amongst those without disabilities - but with the input of those with them - in order to increase knowledge and awareness of it in the most accurate & inclusive way. Yet, one of the main problems faced is that those without disabilities are often hesitant to have such conversations, for fear of saying the ‘wrong’ thing and therefore offending. (I could go into how I feel this is a bit of a catch 22 situation here, but that’s in the article, so I’ll leave you to read it there 😉).
And, as someone who uses my personal frequently - and follows a lot of , (a good way to educate yourself more on , by the way) - and with this being an & therefore using a lot for its , I thought why not combine the two?
In essence, use the fact that Instagram is a predominant feature in both mine & the ‘s life, and that I’m already connected to a lot of , to help non-disabled people feel better informed about how to go about addressing the topic of disability in conversation - it’s not a taboo word! 🙅🏻♀️
