Dota 2 Twitch Streamer Strider751 made a bet with League of Legends Streamer MissBaffy that he could reach Platinum Rank in League in just 2 - 3 months.
MissBaffy quickly responded to this and said "That's bs. You will probably land on Bronze I and after 2 - 3 months you MIGHT make it to Gold."
"Strider isn't that good, no offense, He was a DotA player but he does so much stuff like it's pretty bad. Plus, It takes so long to learn the game and learn every champion in the game." MissBaffy added.
6k DotA Player Strider accepted the challenge and started playing League. He made a lot of bad plays in his first few games but he said that's how he will learn the game, By making dumb mistakes.
2 weeks have passed, Strider was already able to reach Gold by spamming Nami which he said is one of the most brain dead champion in the game and hit Platinum Rank in his 38th day of playing League.
Even after Strider already won the bet, He continued playing ranked and reached Diamond IV after 60 days before he stopped.
Some League players were amazed but others said it's because he got carried and used easy champions.
Strider responded by saying "The objective for me was to hit diamond asap, not play the most mechanically challenging champ. I main invoker with over 2500 games in dota and played the most braindead champ in league Nami. I knew my dota fundamentals would transfer if I mained support. I can agree that the average champ in league is more mechanically focused than in dota. But on the other hand I am convinced that the most difficult heroes in dota are waaay more mechanically challenging than in league."
Strider was even reported by another League streamer for "cheating" cause she don't want to believe that Strider only started playing the game 3 weeks ago and not miss any skill shots thus she assumed he is cheating.
