This is the inception of why “Black Women don’t feel safe by Black Men”

These are my opinions. Don’t @ me unless you have something to bring to the table to change this narrative. Women all over this nation claim they are not protected but the very same men that they abuse and can’t understand why the fear is prevalent in their spirit. And for a brief moment I couldn’t understand it until it happened to me.

I am not saying women aren’t targeted for violence because they are

I am not saying women are targeted for r**e and sexual assault because they are

I am not saying that women are not oppressed because of their race and gender because in some cases they are

What I am saying is that those situations are not as frequent as the media would like you to believe. Black Men love Black Women and would risk their lives to protect you but when Black Men have to come home to an emotional and physically abusive partner that doesn’t have respect for them.....well.... the the Brother Malcolm said....when the chickens come home to roost....

I can’t not stress how often this happens. When you want something in life...risk is always involved. From selecting a show to watch to picking a home to live, risk is everywhere. So when is comes to a women “shooting her shot” this is what happens. No risk. You gave them the eye and......they didn’t get it. Did you approach them? Make it easier for them to approach you? Or did we do the “oops I dropped my napkin” for their attention. Women have to learn two things....how to approach a someone WHILE dealing with fear and how to accept rejection gracefully WITHOUT it fracturing your confidence. Both are hard to swallow so it is easier typed then done lol. Shouts to .kev_ for this one....

One of my favorite Podcaster’s posted this.

I can guarantee that 80% of male group chats have talked about this topic over and over and over again. “ how can you claim you want independency but still want gender norms to be the base of your relationship” we have to make it make sense.
Feminism isn’t just about political movements or social structure changes in a company in order to see fit for gender quality, it’s an ideology that base its principles of completely being independent and self-sufficient to create a roadmap to becoming a equal force in the community. These principles by default bring an egalitarian mindset to the table and the thing about the table is that once you finally get a seat at it, you can’t change the table only the conversation. African American’s learned this the hard way. I feel that if media like this was out there more frequently, it gives people MORE of a realistic view of how women actually feel dating should be. I’m saying a woman shouldn’t be catered to. I believe that if in individual loves someone they should take care of them but when your core principles don’t align with your lifestyle, someone’s being non transparent and I can’t go for that
