Our LEWK Issue 8 Model Call is January 11th and 12th from 2:00-5:00 PM located in the Family Consumer Sciences building of Texas State University (Academy St, San Marcos, TX 78666). Come wearing form fitting all black attire. You do NOT need to provide a portfolio or comp cards, but you may provide it for experience if you like.

In order to be a model for this issue, you MUST attend ONE of the TWO IN-PERSON modeling castings.
If you cannot attend the scheduled calls, fill out this form and email [email protected], (Subject: First Name, Last Name Model Schedule Conflict) We will contact you with further instructions.

*There is a possible extreme weather forecasted for the selected casting dates. If we cancel the call due to those circumstances, we will email everyone who filled out the form with alternative instructions, as well as post to our Instagram.

Where the earth cracks under the unrelenting sun, a single flower dared to bloom. It was a tiny, delicate thing. The landscape, with its unforgiving terrain, seemed an unlikely place for such fragile beauty to take root. Yet there it was, a lone blossom defying odds as every petal unfolded.

This flower found solace in nature’s embrace in its desolate land. It drew strength from the deep roots that anchored it to the earth. And as the seeds scattered in the wind, carried by the whispers of ancient spirits, it was not alone.

The significance of flowers in Asian culture goes beyond mere aesthetics. It represents perseverance and resilience, a reminder that beauty can flourish even in the darkest of times.

So, as the sun sank below the horizon, long shadows cast across the barren landscape, the flower stood tall. It, in its unique beauty, is a testament to the enduring power of nature. A reminder that even in the most strident environments, life will always find a way to bloom.

It’s a space where competition and envy fade, replaced by laughter, shared stories, and support. This International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate the intrinsic value of every woman, recognizing that our worth isn’t measured by external validation, but by the joy and presence we bring to each other’s lives.
