No one can get to heaven on their own – however good they might be. But the good news is that we can be invited into heaven by Jesus.
Hear more from our guest writer, the Rev. Michael Rusk, who lives in the beautiful city of Geneva in Switzerland.

Michael is Rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, the church right by the lake. He used to work in England and has three children who still live there - Matthew, Connie, and Felicity. Michael enjoys going on pilgrimage - long walks where Christians have walked for many centuries. He recently walked up to the Grand Saint Bernard pass in the Alps and was able to spend time there with the famous Saint Bernard dogs.

New episode! Have you ever wondered "Who can go to heaven?"
Join us and our guest writer, the Rev. Michael Rusk, priest and rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Geneva, as he helps us to think about this question.

With this episode we are celebrating the end of our very first season of the Hope and Joy podcast!! Throughout the 20 episodes this year from Advent, our new year Beginning, Lent and Easter, and through your wonderful questions, we have learned so much from you and from our guest writers.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for all your encouragements and support, for the beautiful music from the American Cathedral in Paris, to all our guest writers for taking this journey with us, and to all the children who have so generously shared their thoughts and contributions with us. We hope that this podcast has been and will continue to be a blessing to many.

We look forward to new episodes coming after the summer and in the meantime all our episodes remain available on Apple Podcast, Spotify and on our website

God allows US to decide whether we will share the love with others or choose to keep it for ourselves. Start your summer hols with our new episode, guest written by the Rev. Stephanie Burette : "Where is Jesus? Can we meet him if he is not dead?"

Stephanie is a priest, a chaplain in a College in England, where she is also doing research (and doing more studies herself!). She spent six years at the American Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris and where she served as a youth leader. Before that, she taught French in middle school and high school, and at universities. So, her students were aged 10 years old to ... 60+! Because we never stop learning.
