Presenting: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘰𝘫𝘰 𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘩 𝘌𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴!

Starting 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, I will begin hosting 1 on 1 exhibition matches between two competitors. This will start off as best of 3 kaizo Mario races but I plan to expand this format to other games in the future. It's a fun, one and done race with no pressure or commitments!

H̲e̲r̲e̲'̲s̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲i̲d̲e̲a̲: We are saturated with kaizo Mario tournaments and it's impossible to plan one without stepping on someone else's toes. It can also be difficult and stressful for competitors to participate because of the time commitment required. My goal is to run this series in such a way that makes this accessible to everyone by eliminating the long-term commitments, skill level mismatches, and time availability limitations.

H̲o̲w̲: I have already begun to reach out to kaizo Mario streamers asking which hacks they can speedrun without practice. I will be secretly pairing up 1 on 1 races with streamers based on those hack submissions and their relative skill levels. I will work with these two streamers to plan a night to run a live best of 3 race on my page. Here's the kicker: I will not announce which hack they will be racing until right before we go live. No pressure of week-long practice which often results in the match being determined by who has more time to practice.

W̲h̲e̲n̲: The first match will take place next Thursday, 8/31 in the EST evening time. I will reveal next week who our first two competitors are going to be. Going forward the match times will be based on availability of the two players so it will vary from night to night. I am hoping to do these on a biweekly to monthly basis.

I will be experimenting with this format for a while trying to find the most enjoyable and exciting way to do these races. I already have buy-in from over 10 kaizo Mario streamers but if anyone else would like to be included 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 reach out to me!

I am open to ideas and would love to hear feedback on what you want to see, including matchups of your favorite streamers. Maybe some revenge matches for old tournament upsets... 😈 Please let me know in the comments what you think and what you hope to get out of this!
