As the last remaining days of 2024 quickly fall into the rear view mirror, it seems the time for reflection is upon us. Tradition dictates that it’s time for Album of the Year lists, but, since traditions are boring, I thought it might be more fun to talk about SHOWS of the year instead. In anticipation of ‘s upcoming three show East Coast run with this weekend (Nov 22, 23, 24, 2024), here’s the full text of my interview with vocalist Dan Yemin that appeared in Today Forever print issue #03. The interview, which took place in the Fall of 2023 in conjunction with the release of the band’s latest record, Famine ( ) offers insightful (and timely) commentary on the ever present relationship between punk/hardcore music and activism, the production of the new album, and the band’s drive to create music with purpose and authenticity. 🖤
