Naglabas na ng Php 5.2 bilyon na pondo ang pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Department of Budget and Management para punan ang inisyatibong Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development na ipapamahagi sa mga nangangailangang pamilyang Pilipino.

Ayon sa DBM, nasa 9.8 milyon na benepisyaryo ang makikinabang sa ikatlong yugto ng TCT program bilang tugon na rin sa utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na tulungan ang mga nangangailangan.

Ang programa ring ito ay bahagi ng mga hakbang ng pamahalaan para maibsan ang epekto ng pagtaas ng presyo ng petrolyo at iba pang pangunahing pangangailangan tulad ng pagkain.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. happily reported he had a "very successful" trip to Cambodia, where he met with fellow leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and dialog partners, as he was able to assert the Philippines' interests and commitment to strengthening regional cooperation.

The Chief Executive also stated he was able to raise the nation's position, plans, and intentions to find ways to collectively address the shared problems of Southeast Asian countries, such as low supply and the rising cost of goods.

A day after Tropical Storm 'Paeng' made a series of landfall in the country, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo, Department of National Defense (DND) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Senior Undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr., Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr., and Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr. conduct an aerial inspection of affected areas on 30 October 2022.

In a virtual briefing called by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. yesterday, 29 October 2022, he issued directives to all concerned government agencies following the onslaught of ‘Paeng’ such as provisions of clean drinking water and purifying systems, restoration of electricity with priority in hospitals and evacuation centers, and immediate clearing operations to facilitate the access of relief, medical and rescue missions.

In response to the devastation caused by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. stated he would consider the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council's (NDRRMC) recommendation to declare a year-long state of calamity in Bicol, BARMM, and other affected areas.

NDRRMC Chairman and Department of National Defense officer-in-charge Undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr. recommended this during an emergency council meeting yesterday and is expected to submit a resolution for a state of calamity and the acceptance of international aid.

Tuloy-tuloy din ang paghahanda ng mga probinsyang inaasahang maaapektuhan ng Bagyong Paeng habang tinatahak ang kalupaan ng Luzon.

Sa isang full council meeting kahapon, nagbigay ng direktiba si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga aksyong kailangang maisakatuparan ng bawat ahensya para tugunan ang pinsalang dala ng Bagyong .

Prayoridad ay ang pagbibigay ng inuming tubig sa BARMM na susundan ng mga purifying systems, pamamahagi ng relief goods at pinansyal na tulong, at pagpapabalik ng kuryente sa mga apektadong lugar.

��Kasama din sa mga binigyang-diin ng Pangulo ay ang pagsasaayos ng mga tulay at kalsada upang masigurong makakapasok ang rescue missions at dagdag na relief goods sa iba't ibang lugar sa bansa.

While in New York, we met with former US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger. He is, in my opinion, wise counsel and an absolute rockstar.

When he inquired about the state of the country, we invited him to come to see for himself how far the Philippines had progressed. Many people, including myself, are looking forward to his upcoming visit.

After our aerial inspection today, we found some areas that are still inundated with water. Nueva Ecija and Aurora are without power. We are sending gensets now.

But generally, the damage to public and private infrastructure is minimal. Government services are almost at full function.

Main road thoroughfares are passable, communication is up and running.
