I've had a couple of days to reflect over the recent news. This is such a tragic event, especially to happen the day before 9/11....
The nature of social media platforms are that, minority voices can be amplified in such a manner above most other platforms that a minority can start to sound almost like a majority. If ZZ a person does not have anything better to do with their time, they can invest it within these platforms and have unparalleled outreach compared to any other platform. It is unreal how many people over the years that were completely unknown have been able to go viral, and become quickly recognized by the public at Large. Even before this technology, it was commonplace to understand that a lie could spread far about any event before the truth even has time to put its pants on.
Despite all of that, I have noticed something when checking my social media resources. If you look at the comments on posts supportive of Charlie Kirk, the comments of support and condolences dwarf any celebration against or rebuttal of what Charlie stood for.
Even if you look at posts that celebrate such a horrific act, from my experience so far, there are many more remarks denouncing and condemning the posts then there are supporting these posts celebrating the death of someone ideologically opposed to the person that made the original post.
In such an environment seemingly designed to be so weighted against Christian teachings and values, this type of response on these platforms stand as a testament to what Charlie Kirk stood for, and the legacy he left behind. I find this to be very encouraging. This should be evidence to anyone paying attention to the political climate in today's age. This is proof that our country is heading in the right direction, and should give everyone motivation to follow the example of Charlie Kirk and to stand for the Christian values that he promoted publicly so well (especially in an environment so hostile with disagreement).
Charlie kirk, rest well, good and faithful servant. You have made a much more dramatic impact on the people you have left behind then perhaps anybody who within your day and time. You will be celebrated and missed!
