A quick message from Basil E. Bacorn:

This is just a big thank you to all our staff, authors, and business partners for not only being amazing while we were in business, but also for being so understanding with our recently announced closure. I wasn't sure how authors would react when I sent out the news, but am glad to report how kind everyone has been in both public posts and in private messages. It has definitely made it easier to accept that this was the right decision to make.

Thank you all for the support given to this business over the years! We are open for another eight days, after which all publishing operations will shut down. Until then, if you are hoping to order any copies of any of our titles, now is the time to do so! All of our books are available on Amazon until February 28. :)

Effective February 28, 2022, Basil E. Bacorn Publishing, LLC will be discontinuing all business operations and stopping all production of its titles.

I enjoyed working in the publishing industry but unfortunately, the company grew too fast for its own good and I am unable to continue things. It's time to close up shop and I will be taking a well-needed break from business ownership.

I plan to continue writing, and am looking to sign with a new publisher when the opportunity arises. When the company closes, most of my books will also go out of print. I will likely self-publish Grumps and Mike Death's Guide to Being Dead, as well as The Books of Random Thoughts Series, and focus on getting my full-length novels and children's books published traditionally. Regarding Mothman Goes to School specifically, I will be discussing next steps with my illustrator and make an official announcement at a later date.

The Basil E. Bacorn Publishing page and Twitter account will remain active, but we are going to instead try and share updates from our authors so everyone knows what they are up to.

For a few of our authors, Morgan La Batt and myself will be serving as literary agents in hopes of helping them find new publishing homes for their manuscripts. Those updates will be posted to our social media as well.

In the meantime, if you are interested in ordering any of our books, please do so by the end of this month. On March 1st, most titles will be out of print.
