Ten nowy solowy projekt poświęcony szkłu jako materiałowi jest kontynuacją Glassical music (w którym dźwięki pary wodnej zostały uchwycone w szkle). Pierwotnie był to projekt kompozycji napisany dla 6 muzyków z kolektywu Muzzix, który był kilkakrotnie wykonywany publicznie. Później zebrałem wystarczająco dużo materiału, aby pracować nad nowymi kompozycjami tutaj prezentowanymi

Review of "Transient Spaces as Impermanent Lines" by Alfredo Costa Monteiro by Ken Lowerin his wonderful blog Lost In A Sea Of Sound

Are there words for a composition formed around tumultuous sonic energy, crystalline sounds without destination or documentation? Short motifs floating in aural space, their dimensional doorways clamor with forceful motion. Listeners carom through Transient Spaces as Impermanent Lines. A Pachinko ball falling with the slightest amount of gravity, defying physics to sometimes move towards it's origin instead of away. Alfredo Costa Monteiro has cohesively composed an aural landscape from broken glass and crumbled concrete. The building material of modern civilization with the associated urban soundscape sometimes heard as sonic memories. Conscious saturates with extrinsic processing but the sounds within are also beautifully patient. Silent moments, long empty space droning with only the crunch of a footstep. Then quiet again until energy explodes in defined slow motion. All the time lost in the labyrinth Alfredo Costa Monteiro has most articulately created.

Evan Crankshaw jest artystą mieszkającym w Stanach Zjednoczonych, w Karolinie Północnej. Wszystkie pokazane tu prace to kolaże wykonane ręcznie, nożyczkami, przy użyciu elementów wyciętych z dużej kolekcji książek i czasopism. Te widoczne tutaj zostały wykonane we współpracy z Sublime Retreat.

THE DEAD MAURIACS "Le Parc, Rapport d’Observations" - Review by Richard Johnson in Adverse Effect

The Dead Mauriacs are a project revolving around Olivier Prieur who appear to have done an excessive amount of releases in the past fifteen years or so, mostly on CDr or lathe-cuts but occasionally as a vinyl or CD album. The three lengthy tracks here operate in that smudged twilight space where haphazard cosmic churn collides with neatly rendered collage work, musique concrete and the kind of drifting tones and textures that thankfully avoid their usual more predictable deployment. Very nicely packaged, plus I think only 100 of these were made. Well worth tracking down. (RJ)

Transient spaces as impermanent lines został skomponowany jako dźwiękowy dryf bez innego celu niż świadoma wędrówka. Ten brak kierunku, wyrażony poprzez hipotetyczną narrację, kształtuje trasę poprzez różne nastroje dźwiękowe przenoszone przez materialność dźwięku, tworząc w ten sposób zmienne stany emocjonalne bliskie dezorientacji; dokładnie tak, jak w dryfie psychogeograficznym, który implikuje pewną rezygnację z tego, czego można się spodziewać, w zależności od każdej przestrzeni, w której rozwija się ta podstawowa narracja.

Spreading a word about a wonderful recent piece from Moan, a project by Rafał Sądej who did a lot of mastering for Sublime Retreat releases.

This is a recording of a live performance by Moan at a special event dedicated to the work of Tomasz Twardawa. One of the integral parts of this exhibition was a Q&A session about Tomasz's creative work, followed by live performances by David Hrapla and Rafal Sadej, who have collaborated with Tomasz in the past, both solo and as part of the Hated Bruit Kollektiv project.

I am happy to announce the pre-order of "Transient Spaces as Impermanent Lines" by Alfredo Costa Monteiro ! The album will be released on April 5, 2024.

This immersive soundscape is a piece for found sounds, inspired by the found footage technique in experimental cinema, where images, often from anonymous sources are shown as if they were edited in a narrative by those who literally found them.

Like a soundtrack for a non-existent movie, it could be compared to a piece of cinéma pour l'oreille (cinema for the ear), literally applying the French expression donner à voir (something like "allow to see"), but with sound as its means.

If you happen to be in Barcelona, you are kindly invited to the album launch event, which will take place at the Centre Cívic Convent de Sant Agustí, Barcelona on April 5, 2024.

Véhicule has composed each track as a musical tapestry, a sound capsule that can evoke imaginary pictures, like a journey through a dreamy landscape. In this way, the titles, with their poetic dimension, can resonate with the music, just as the title next to a painting we see in a museum can bring meaning (or disturbance) to the viewer.
