No traction control ✅
No racing line ✅
No ABS ✅

I took a big step and raced without any racing assists in today’s league race. I hoped that my many practice hours would enable me to make little to no mistakes and have a top 5 finish but it didn’t go that way. On the upside I did finish the race in a points scoring position when I could have easily crashed with terminal damage. It ain’t much but I’ll take it.

Round four didn’t go as well as I’d like to finish in the top five but I did accomplish a couple things. First and foremost I completed a race without any time penalties and secondly I got the extra point for fastest lap of the race. I have to give a shoutout to my teammate for staying on after crashing out and being my race engineer.

Another round in the books and another improvement from the last race. I qualified much better in P3 then capitalized on it with a great launch projecting me into the lead. After that it was put my head down and fire off some quick lap times. The car behind was on an alternate tire strategy so I had to attempt to nip it. Towards the end of the race I attempted the undercut but I didn’t maximize the out lap and missed the lead by a car length. Just like the first two rounds I learned from my mistakes and will improve for next week at Shanghai China.

Qualified P4 and sent off well but took some damage on the first lap that forced me to box on the first lap for a new front wing. I then worked my way up as high as P5 and managed a good race pace. This was the improvement I had hope for from last weekend. The top 4 guys are in danger if I can get a clean start.

Well I no longer need my PlaySeat Challenge since I upgraded. This is an excellent beginners sim cockpit especially if you are tight on space because it folds up neatly with a G29 attached. Bought it new 9 months ago. I’ve kept it in great like-new condition. Have the original box and packaging as shown in photos. Local pickup or I’m willing to ship within the US at buyers expense.

Super excited to have my ART arrive. I am beyond happy and impressed. I chose the RS6 seat because it was the lowest price and I have plans to find a Mk4 R32 Konig front seat to replace it. Hopefully I can find one reasonably priced. I was able to get a couple hours of seat time in and what a difference it makes to have the wheel and pedals planted not moving around.

Murphy’s Law says anything that can go wrong will go wrong. That sums up my first round with Can-Am racing league in Australia. Many hours of practice laps and many league practice races were put in the past two weeks leading up to yesterday‘s race. It’s frustrating that I put all that time in getting comfortable with my new sim rig and car set up then when race day arrives track conditions felt greasy. In qualifying I crashed out of the session on my out lap ending my chances of a good starting position. Then at the start of the race things went from bad to worse when I jumpstarted earning a drive through penalty. Baring all that I still finished strong in P11 earning driver of the day. More lessons learned today to be better the next round.
