Bassmaster Announces New Electronic Rules for 2025

👉Starting in the 2025 season, B.A.S.S. will implement the following regulations:

・Transducer Limit: Only one live sonar transducer is allowed, and it must be mounted to the trolling motor at the bow of the boat. B.A.S.S. will also provide a vetted list of acceptable live transducers, updated annually. Equipment not on this list is banned from Elite Series and Classic competition.
・Screen Size Restriction: Elite Series and Classic competitors will be limited to a total of 55 inches of screen space, including both bow and dash head units. This rule addresses safety concerns related to blind spots created by larger screens.
・Electric Motor Limit: Competitors in the Elite Series and Classic may have only one electric motor mounted on their boats. This rule aims to simplify the enforcement of existing regulations related to long-lining and trolling.
・Diverse Schedule Focus: B.A.S.S. will emphasize a more diverse Elite Series schedule, requiring a wide variety of fishing styles for success. While live sonar technology will still be used, anglers will also need experience and knowledge of fish behavior and patterns.

Just uploaded a video (that I definitely forgot to edit) to the channel. My cousin, Uncle, Dad and I had a good time, but next time I bet they bring some food and water coming fishing with me😂. We were on Lake Erie, pretty close in, casting for Walleyes. Having all types of species to deal with when fishing in tight usually makes for sore arms and the Sheephead didn't give us a break but a few of Lake Erie's finest made it to the box. NEWS: Ohio’s Spring 2025 Wild Turkey Hunting Seasons Proposed to Wildlife Council
⏺️ The Ohio Wildlife Council received proposals for the spring 2025 wild turkey hunting season dates. The council also received proposals to amend site-specific minimum-length requirements for walleye, sauger, and saugeye at several inland lakes.

Anyone who would like to make official comments proposals can do so online (LINK) between Monday, Aug. 26 and Wednesday, Sept. 25. The proposed rules will be voted on during the Ohio Wildlife Council’s meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

🦃 Wild turkey hunting proposals
The proposed spring 2025 wild turkey hunting season dates are:

Youth: Saturday, April 12 to Sunday, April 13, 2025
South Zone: Saturday, April 19 to Sunday, May 18, 2025
Northeast Zone: Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, June 1, 2025
Ohio’s spring turkey season is split into two zones to align with the timing of turkey nesting in those regions. The south zone is the majority of Ohio, comprising 83 counties. The northeast zone includes Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and Trumbull counties.

Annually, the south zone opening date is proposed to begin on the Saturday closest to April 21, and the northeast zone is proposed to begin on the Saturday closest to May 1. Under these guidelines, the opening dates for the south zone and northeast zone may be as much as two weeks apart.

🎣 Inland fishing proposals
The Ohio Wildlife Council received a proposal to remove the 15-inch minimum length requirement for walleye, sauger, and saugeye on Acton Lake, Alum Creek Lake, Atwood Lake, Buckeye Lake, Caesar Creek Lake, Ferguson Reservoir, Findlay Reservoir 1, Findlay Reservoir 2, Indian Lake, Metzger Reservoir, Piedmont Lake, Pleasant Hill Lake, Rocky Fork Lake, Seneca Lake, and Tappan Lake. If approved, there would be no minimum length requirement for walleye, sauger, or saugeye on those waterbodies.

As part of the same proposal, a 15-inch minimum length requirement for walleye, sauger, and saugeye would be added at Mosquito Creek Lake and LaDue Reservoir to better conserve fish populations.

Got out a few weeks ago and did some fun fishing with some good people and had a good time cycling through so many "perfect eater " sized fish and countless shorts. Didn't even film an intro to this one and pretty much just filmed raw. We used a mixture of cranks and spoons, and to no surprise, the small spoons behind Dipsey divers did most of the damage. Living close to Lake Erie is truly a blessing, and we know the big girls will be back this way soon. No giant fish, but non-stop action. An average mid-to-late summer day on Lake Erie fishing out of Lorain, Ohio. 😎🎣😋💯🔥🕺🏾
