On September 3, 2024, Lion Altaf Shahid, Zone Chairperson Mux-B, had attended a meeting of our esteemed District Governor Lion Atif Munir with Zone Chairpersons of District 305-N1 via Zoom.

During the meeting, the District Governor shared his monthly plan and requested Zone Chairpersons to do the share the same with respective Lions Clubs. Lion Altaf Shahid not only assured his full support but also proudly presented his Mega Project in Multan, entitled “MERA DARAKHT”, which aims to plant 10,000 trees this year. Already, 3,000+ trees have been successfully planted across Multan City, in collaboration with the dedicated Leos of Multan including; Multan Galaxy Leo Club, Multan Jugnoo Leo Club, Multan Sparklers Leo Club and Multan Rising Stars Leo Club.

He also shared the progress and achievements of his zone, reaffirming his commitment to the district's goals. The District Governor acknowledged and appreciated the cause and efforts of Lion Altaf Shahid.

On August 23, 2024, tree plantation activity under the project "Mera Darakht" (My Tree) was held at Nishat Boys High School Multan. A total of 100 Plants were planted in the presence of *Mr. Shafqat Hayat Khan Khakwani* - School Principal and *Lions & Leos*.

Special thanks to *Mr. Shafqat Hayat Khan Khakwani* for the cooperation he extended towards the ex*****on of the project and for the lovely hospitality.

*PCC. Lion Muhammad Afzal Sipra Zone Mentor Mux-B, led the project along with Leo-Lion Muhammad Arslan, Leo Savaira Khalid, Leo Huzaifa Khakwani, Leo Syeda Iffat Zahra, Leo Maryam Yameen, Leo Khadija Tul Zahra, Leo Ibne Hashmi and Leo Yousuf*. They all participated and planted the trees along with students of the school.

*Lion Jabir Khar* Secretary Multan Uptown Lions Club joined the activity and planted the trees.

*Leo-Lion Muhammad Arslan* gave briefing about the importance of Tree Plantation to the students and requested them to own a tree and take good care of it.

On August 10, 2024, we celebrated another successful tree plantation activity under the project "Mera Darakht" (My Tree) at Qasim Park. *Deputy Director of Park and Horticulture Authority Mr. Ghulam Nabi* graced the occasion and joined *Lions* and *Leos* in planting trees. On the behalf of Lion Altaf Shahid – Zone Chairperson Mux-B a souvenir was presented to Mr. Ghulam Nabi by Lions and Leos together for his support in planting trees at Qasim Park.

On August 12, 2024, we held a meaningful tree plantation activity at NUML Multan Campus under the project "Mera Darakht" (My Tree). It was an inspiring event where Assistant Director Amber Sajid joined Zone Chairperson Mux-B Lion Altaf Shahid, PCC. Lion Muhammad Afzal Sipra (Zone Mentor), Lion Muhammad Zahid Sheikh (President Multan Crescent Lions Club), Leo-Lion Muhammad Arslan Alvi (Past Leo Advisory Panelist CA 6), Leo Savaira Khalid (First Vice District President Leo District Council 305-N1), Leo Huzaifa Khakwani (President Multan Galaxy Leo Club), Leo Sohaib Rajput (President Multan Rising Stars Leo Club), Leo Maryam Yameen, Leo Khadija Tul Zahra, and Leo Saleh in planting trees.

Brig. Asad Raza (Retd.) Regional Director NUML Multan Campus praised the initiative and committed to supporting efforts to raise awareness about the importance of trees among students. He also presented souvenir to Lion Altaf Shahid Zone Chairperson Mux-B recognizing his efforts for green Pakistan.

On August 12, 2024, I had the privilege of meeting with CPO Multan Mr. Sadiq Dogar and SSP Investigation Mr. Rana Afzal at his office to discuss the "Mera Darakht" project. It was an important discussion on how this initiative can positively impact our community.

On August 12, 2024, the *"Mera Darakht"* project, an initiative by Zone Chairperson Mux-B Lion Altaf Shahid, was proudly inaugurated by Fuad Hashim Rabbani, Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab. He was joined by Secretary Services Engineer Amjad Shoaib Khan Tareen, Additional Secretary Muhammad Farooq Dogar, and Deputy Secretary Abdul Saboor Thakur.

It was an honor to have PCC. Lion Muhammad Afzal Sipra, Lion Muhammad Zahid Sheikh (President Multan Crescent Lions Club), Leo-Lion Muhammad Arslan Alvi (Past Leo Advisory Panelist CA 6), Leo Savaira Khalid (First Vice District President Leo District Council 305-N1), Leo Huzaifa Khakwani (President Multan Galaxy Leo Club), Leo Sohaib Rajput (President Multan Rising Stars Leo Club), Leo Maryam Yameen, Leo Khadija Tul Zahra, and Leo Saleh actively participating in this significant activity.

On August 11, 2024, I had the pleasure of arranging a special Pool and Mango Party exclusively for Lions, Leos, Rotary Members, and Guests at the farmhouse of Lion Ch. Zulfiqar Ali Anjum. It was a delightful gathering with Zone Chairpersons, District Chairpersons, and Past District Governors from the Multan area coming together to enjoy a refreshing and fun-filled evening.

A special thank you to Lion Dr. Nisar Choudhary (MJF), First Vice District Governor District 305-N1, for gracing the occasion as our distinguished guest.

The event featured sweet mangoes and scrumptious food, adding to the joy and camaraderie of the evening. It was wonderful to see Zone Mentor PCC. Lion Muhammad Afzal Sipra and Past District Governors including Lion Kh. Muhammad Farooq, Lion Muhammad Azam Ch., and Lion Malik Muhammad Shakeel Arain, along with other esteemed guests, enjoying the festivities.

A huge congratulations to Lion Abdul Salam Shahid and his team for their exceptional efforts in organizing this grand event.

A Free Spoken English Session was organized by Zone Mux-B at the E-Library Multan on July 22, 2024. The City Traffic Officer of Multan, Mr. Jalil Imran Alezai, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

In his address, Mr. Jalil Imran Alezai emphasized the importance of learning English for the youth, highlighting its role in enabling them to compete globally in science, technology, and other fields.

District Chairperson Lion Prof. Azam Hussain praised the initiative taken by Zone Chairperson Lion Altaf Shahid, recognizing it as a productive step toward enhancing learning opportunities for the youth. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Alezai for his participation and insightful speech.

Mr. Hammad Hassan Mirza, the dedicated Divisional Superintendent of Pakistan Railway in Multan Division, has been transferred and promoted to a new role as the Chief Engineer of Pakistan Railway. 🎉

Before leaving Multan, Mr. Hammad took the time to visit and meet with Lion Altaf Shahid, our esteemed Imm. Past President, Zone Chairperson MUX-B, as well as the Chief Executive of Solex Chemicals and BAR BQ Tonight. During this visit, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support, goodwill gestures, and outstanding philanthropic services, especially their collaborative efforts on various joint service projects with Pakistan Railway Multan. 🙌
