Local studio splyce design has designed a light-filled, angled house with glazed corners and a sculptural staircase overlooking the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver. Completed in 2021, the 5,700-square-foot residence, known as Yield House, is oriented east-west and responds to the varied setting in both directions.

Immersed in the forestscape of Repovesi in Finland, The Living O’Pod by Unio Design Studio takes glamping to new heights. The spherical glass volume is supported by a steel frame and houses a fully functional living space spread over two floors. More importantly, the structure boasts a 360-degree rotation feature, letting its owners fully absorb the natural vistas on every corner.

Austrian studio Juri Troy Architects has completed Straw Flea House, an angular cabin in the historic village of Murstetten built using locally-sourced timber and straw.

Designed as a single-bedroom weekend home, the dwelling sits alongside a historic barn on a wooded site outside the village's centre, and is oriented to frame landmarks such as the nearby church through its large windows.

We were delighted to team up with a number of exciting material and textile manufacturers to create an immersive wayfinding installation in Esplanadi Park at Design Helsinki last year. The brands dressed numerous trees within the park to create a colourful and vibrant experience for visitors to see and touch.

Studio CL has created a concrete apartment block in Chile made out of precast concrete that was designed as a prototype for a multi-family housing unit. Named 'DSP Apartment', the building is sited in Santiago on a site previously occupied by a single-family residence.

A wooden community centre for water-sports clubs has opened on the coast of Esbjerg, Denmark, with a design by studios Snøhetta and WERK that references boat construction. Positioned on an artificial island, the circular Esbjerg Maritime Center is designed to pay homage to the maritime traditions of the Danish seaport town.
