We don't like doing anniversary posts for EVERYTHING because it begins to lose meaning, but thirty-six years ago tonight...Magnum walked to the ring.

Months after nearly dying in a terrible auto accident that ended his career, Magnum made his first appearance at an arena or on camera and walked to the ring to be in the corner of Dusty and Nikita for their Crockett Cup finals match against the Horsemen. You can see all three men get emotional, as well as numerous people in the crowd—an incredible moment in wrestling history. One not to be forgotten.

I'm not sure what happened to the WWF in 1991, but they got crazy dark and way out of their comfort zone by their standards.

Taker locked Warrior in a coffin.
Earthquake killed Damian.
Bobby Heenan showed up on TV with the NWA title (not dark, but unprecedented for them).
A cobra bit Randy Savage.
Jake Roberts slapped Elizabeth.

Wild, wild times. A nice rebound after a horrendous 1990.
