We interviewed John Warner, the conductor for Orchestra for the Earth, in Episode 7! On Saturday, July 25th, they are hosting a concert for a very special cause. For centuries, bows from string instruments have been made primarily out of one tree found in Brazil: the Pernambuco. Because of this, the tree is in danger of becoming extinct. Orchestra for the Earth teamed up with Trees of Music, an organization who works with conservationists and farmers, to help save this tree. Come to the event to support the cause!

The Sunflower Music Festival will be running from June 18th 20 June 26th! This year's festival puts a strong emphasis on female talent--many of the pieces are composed and performed by women. Also, the first woman to conduct a full orchestra, JoAnn Falletta, will be the conductor in this event. Charles Stegemen, the artistic director for the festival, explains that we should be open-minded to all music, no matter who it was written by. Entry is free and it will be live streamed as well!
