2023 dump (but make it European summer vacay backlog) 🕶️

Of course, I would not be me if I didn’t post a long-winded analysis of the past year! It surely has been a big one – graduated from wkwsci and done with schooling for (probably) my life, taking two months off to rest and relax in cities I’ve never visited or even dreamed of going (Verdon Gorge in the south of France is immaculate) and starting work at an international magazine title that I’ve longed to work at since I embarked on my diploma almost 10 years ago!

I truly feel so blessed to able to do something I love with all my heart for this era of my life but none of these things could have been done without an incredible support system that I’ve grown to really appreciate in my 20s!

To everyone who’s had a good or bad year, here’s to more adventures and hard work in 2024! 🌟

Paris marks the end of my month-long (and very expensive) European vacation and rounding up my graduation trips that have been years in the making!

The last time I was in the city of lights I had just finished my stint in the army, feeling battered, bruised and lost!

Going back to school was daunting, I was burnt out creatively and I didn’t really know who I was anymore but in true “Brandon” fashion, I powered through and not only did I find myself, I found friends that helped me slay university while becoming a stronger, better person than I was four years ago!

Now, I’m returning home with exciting prospects on the horizon and fulfilling the reasons why I chose media and content creation as a career path since I was a teenager!

To my best friendos, both old and new, who had to live with me in the tiny uphill apartment in Seoul, the torrential storm in Jeju, drinking and eating our way through Italy, singing our lungs out while on tour in Portugal, freaking out at the Barcelona police station, kayaking through the Verdon Gorge and taking gorgeous pictures along the River Seine, I would just like to say kamsahamida, te quiero mucho and bon voyage to some of you who are still on the road! 💓

P.S. sorry to everyone following me because I’m gonna be posting back log for months cause Scott really popped off with the photos!

A lot of peeps have been asking where the blueprint guys are at and honestly, life has been hectic! But we will be back soon and creating content that is worth your precious time!! 😅

Also, I realised I didn’t post anything about my summer break from uni and I think that’s crazy because years from now, I want to look back at this and be like: “Damn! That was hella fun!” 🤘🏻

At the start of summer, I started my internship with .singapore and I will still be here for the next couple of months! I got to write some really cool stories that are close to my heart, which is so rewarding! I joined and .eblueprint, which have been such blessings because I got to not just meet but befriend awesome people that I genuinely love being around while creating fashion and culture content! 2021 has been one crazy ride and I’m so glad to be on it! I literally cannot be more thankful for my editors at work and the team at Titan! Oh, and also everyone who has been supporting me throughout everything from way back in the day till most recently! Te quiero mucho!! 💋💋💋

Sharing my fav pics from photojourn part finale! When our lecturer said that the “young hawkers” topic was good but easy, I wanted to throw myself off a building! It wasn’t easy but the group smacked it so hard out of the park I can’t even!! 🤩 got to meet this cool dude who is in a phase of transitions throughout the past year, going from a soccer player to a hawker, and now a very very soon to be dad! Truly mad respect! Go check his business out ! Legit even Kolette who hates chee chewing fun was like: “This is really good”!! I also just like to say I’m proud of this final series of pics because I tried to do more movement shots instead of just clean shots! Sharing some of my favourite pictures form photojourn part deux! It’s not everyday that you get to hang out with a fashion designer!! I think the lesson I learnt from this assignment is that I fu***ng love my job! Like for the longest time I think I had writer’s block because I did it for so long then I stopped for just as long! This sem really gave me back the love for writing and journalism - I couldn’t be happier! Also Max was a total mood, he lives and breathes his work; the dedication! ✊🏻
