One of the main gun runners that has been assisting the insurgents in Fallujah has been smoked out by our forces and is now trying to head into the hills where the caves will provide him safe haven. We need to make sure he doesn't make his escape.
The complex maze of tunnels and caves have many an entrance just outside Fallujah, so we have to make sure we get our mark before he leaves town.
After weeks of observation and stake-outs, we have identified a singular route that he has to take to get out of the town of Fallujah itself. The gun runner must use this path or risk heading into checkpoints and hostile factions. We need to ambush him on this route.
We have 3 teams available for this OP. The first being our 5-men Spec Ops Assault Team, who is tasked with placing a SLAM mine and disabling the target vehicle. This unit will be flown into the AO via Little Bird and will standby in ambush until the vehicle gets popped. Once the vehicle is stopped, they are to quickly neutralize the escorts and secure the HVT. Once this is achieved, they are to call upon the cavalry, our Recovery Team.
The Recovery Team will consist of 3 fire teams lead by a Command Team. They are to insert into town as soon as the HVT is secured to recover the Assault Team and our target. They are provided armed HMMWV and trucks and are to enter into the hotzone where we suspect the enemy forces will begin to converge on the Spec Ops Teams' location.
The Recovery Team is NOT permitted to enter the AO early as this will tip-off the gun runner and he may very well disappear again.
The third team would be our Little Bird team. We have 2 Little Birds in the air and they will provide CAS support with their miniguns and rockets. They are to avoid heavy collateral damage at all costs. We do not want this region to turn against us. Also, as soon as the Assault Team touches down, they are to stay in the air unless cleared by Command. We do not want to
