Vice President Harris has chosen Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be her running mate.

Who is this guy??

1. Spent more than two decades as a public school teacher and football coach, and as a member of the Army National Guard.
2. 5X’s term Congressman & 2X’s as Governor.
3. He repeatedly criticized Trump and other Republicans as “weird” in cable news appearances.
4. A straight talker - “These are weird people on the other side. They want to take books away, they want to be in your exam room. … They are bad on foreign policy, they are bad on the environment, they certainly have no health-care plan, and they keep talking about the middle class,” Walz told MSNBC in July. “As I said, a robber baron real estate guy and a venture capitalist trying to tell us they understand who we are? They don’t know who we are.”

So far, I am warming up to this guy. He is new to the national media spot light, but I can get behind the Harris/Walz ticket. Glad PA keeps their governor. But I do think Sharpio will be ready to run for president in due time 🤞🏽😉

A moment in history:
MLK Day Holiday was years in the making. Ironically, it was pushed by a Democratic Congress and signed by a Republican president. That is called bipartisanship. I wander if Trump was president then, would he have signed the law making MLK a federal holiday???

I would hypothetically say he would NOT. Today’s Republican Party is entirely unrecognizable (not the party of Reagan or both Bushes). GOP has taken a more nationalist approach and 💯 complete fact denialism to everything in American history. Sad but true 😵‍💫
