I still need to take a shower. It sure was busy yesterday here on FB. Many of my music friends, including me, were posting all over the place. The more I saw them post, the more I wanted to post, until I quit about 10 pm last night wondering, "what the hell am I doing." It's so easy to get caught up in all of this. These apps are so addictive.

It's a big game and we're all in this together. Life is like a stream, we're all in separate boats but moving in the same direction (and you can't go back, sorry).

Reality is like a movie, outside of ourselves. Let's not get too caught up on semantics, but work our way past that today, and everyday. They are trying to make us fight within ourselves.

There is too much love in the world to make that happen.

What is WINNING!?

It’s a story song about what it takes to win. It was a huge genre-mix. NOW IT’S JUST ROCK!. I suppose I still want to be a rockstar-wanted to get loud, show off and ROCK OUT, you know, do some SHREDDING? BTW. It ain't perfect, so what, it's fun!

This is my interpretation of “WINNING” the video. it is morning and a man is going out to run. It’s not always easy doing the right thing day after day. Then you see the young man full of doubt, stress and worry because that’s what we do--many of us worry about many things and have doubts about our ability to achieve our goals. Negative thoughts can creep in, thoughts of bad meetings, mean parents, etc. Letting the negative thinking go, the man runs along the water’s edge. Then, an epiphany happens. confidence, persistence and positive thinking become one on the starting line.

Winning II - Guitar Version was an afterthought. It was supposed to go 1) The King; 2) Bitter Wind: 3) Carried Away; 4) Joker.
This only came about because my friend down the street said we (we?) should cover "Freebird." I was like, "Dude, don't you know that song is 50 years old?

Got me thinking (thinking can be dangerous), what if I jam out Rock style on one of my songs from last year for the Superbowl? I love ❤️ to watch a Good game, so why not?

That's how it happened I'm rockin' out for Superbowl Weekend! Whew! ❤️

As a result, I've been meeting a lot of guitar players recently... good players, too. 👍 These are fun times for your average rock and classical guitarist here who usually produces unusually weird genre-mixed-up EDM. 🤣 NO AI Music here.

I try too hard most of the time with my marketing, I'm not subtle, smooth and still have a lot to learn.

I wouldn't say my music is subtle or smooth, either. Nor do I have songs that have the same beat all the way through.

I'm an ADD composer who likes change in his music, contrast between sections and a well defined structure usually disguising the main melody at the beginning only to develop it later.
I'm being honest here, long progressive patterns with the same beat and the same patterns get boring to me fast. That's why I make roughly 30 second sections that don't repeat (exactly) or I'll change it up completely. I want to take you somewhere with my music. I think of each song like an adventure, melodies, my characters. With change going on, my music usually stays in character with the theme--that's important to me, that it all fits right, that it makes sense (to me).

Now you have a little background, did I ruin any hope of subtleness within my song Winning by SHREDDING on top of it? Nah.

Some spins and playlist joins would be SUPER nice, right now. I'm not collecting emails on pre-saves--those are going into the ether. I stopped paying for advertising and my numbers have dropped.

The good news is, I've made many friends in the indie community lately. Spinning new music has become my part-time thing and I'm still learning and having fun producing.

I find making videos the hardest part since it's all about the music to me. I'll spend a week or develop over time (weeks, months, years) making a music composition, but the video may take only 3 to 4 hours. Also, association with what is on the screen seems to take away from someone hearing and understanding where the composer is.coming from, and going to.
Wrapping it up. 👋 Winning would be perfect if everyone wins. I'm in a win-win situation since I can't lose anything by going forward and if I continue helping others to feel the same way. If you made it this far, you're a Winner, because you're alive! Everything else is only icing.

Commentary on the Recent Changes to the US Government (Treasury, US AID, etc.).

I’m nervous for anyone who relies on the US government for their monthly checks right now. Maybe you haven't heard, the US Treasury Data (our data) is in the hands of DOGE, and the takeover and bitter sweep of (what they call the worms in the apple) USAID.

If the money doesn’t come in,if people don't get their checks, people who’s health relies on the government will be s**t out of luck. There may be no programs soon, no cheap insulin, full-pay doctor visits or no assistance, and no medical coverage reimbursement. The weak share perish faster than the rich or privileged class and I know young people will suffer emotionally watching their love ones die, but will survive if they are strong and learn to work hard.

I’m not worried for my own future, per se, even though I haven’t collected dollar bills under my mattress. I know I can survive (if I don’t get killed first) as a homesteader somewhere in the mountains near a fresh water stream. If I could somehow earn a horse and a cow from a farmer, I could fish and survive (if I can get some coffee beans). I could have some nice times around the fire with my beach classical guitar. I would certainly try to have my family with me or try to get to where they are.

I hope it doesn’t happen, of course, and I hope it doesn’t happen to you. There are many changes going on. I was always told, plan for the worst, but hope for the best!
