This is reported by the website The Information, adding that in this way, "small" want to strengthen the line of games Xbox Game Studios. We would like to remind you that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment includes the authors of Mortal Kombat, the Middle-earth Dialog and the latest games about Batman.
Anonymous sources of The Information have also confirmed that Take-Two, EA and Activision Blizzard are actually considering a deal to acquire the company.
According to various sources, AT&T is asking two to four billion dollars for the Warner Bros. game branch. They say that despite its relative profitability, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is a small asset to AT&T - Warner's revenue reaches a billion dollars, which is not much compared to 33 billion of all WarnerMedia for the same period.
In addition, AT&T has a debt of about $165 billion. Obviously, the sale of the division will not help much to pay off, but in this way the conglomerate will be able to generate revenue from the licensing of intellectual property Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which fits into AT&T's asset monetization strategy.
