Looks like Fanatics Live will be landing in the UK to finally offer an alternative to the seemingly scammer filled Whatnot Sports. Will be interesting to see if they’re going to try and attract all the bedroom breakers or go after “established” brands.

Today, U.S.-based Fanatics Live announced the acquisition of the assets of Voggt, a leading European live-commerce platform headquartered in France.

Back once again opening 80 packs so you don’t have to!
The playoffs are here and so is 2024 Postseason Base. 240 common cards to chase and with three guaranteed per base pack, 80 is the minimum number of packs you could open to make the base set. Standard Pack odds and my results:
3 Guaranteed Uncommon White Cards
1 Guaranteed Rare Green Card
Super Rare Red Card 1:12
Iconic Blue Card 1:100
Legendary Gold Card 1:750
From my 80 packs I managed to collect 156 uncommon for a 35% duplicate rate which doesn’t strike me as terrible. Only 11 duplicate rare cards is good as is my 1:10 Super Rare strike rate. Would have been nice to snag an iconic, but alas.

It’s back!! Opening 33 packs so you don’t have to.

2024 Topps Finest dropped on Friday with a slightly ridiculous 2980 total cards in the set. My goals are far more reasonable at the 99 card common base set. With 3 commons per standard pack (8 cards, 5000coins), 33 packs is the minimum you could complete the base set in odds and results as follows

1:8 rare
1:20 super rare
1:750 iconic
No legendary or bonus pack exclusives

Results after 33 packs
67/99 common base (67.7%)
30/99 uncommon base (30.3%)
2/99 rare base (2%)
2/24 what if… 1993 prototypes rare (8.3%)
1/19 future so bright rare (5.3%)
1/297 refractor base super rare (0.3%)
1/137 signature super rare (0.7%)

In a nutshell, cool looking cards, but waaaaay too big a set. Devalues the rare+ with so many subsets so it’s essentially impossible to get close to completing one of these sets while just opening packs to complete the common/uncommon as a bonus.

Fanatics complete the rebrand and relaunch of the recently acquired PWCC business with Fanatics Collect hitting app stores today.

They did rather drop the ball on the LinkedIn post though as I think it should read “the most technologically advanced vault” rather than value. Typical Topps QC though, right? 😜

Late to the party, I know. But better late than never!

Opening 60 packs of Heritage so you don’t have to. This year Topps is throwing it back to 1975 set and I do have a soft spot for them. The base set is a whopping 117 cards. So you will need to spend 180,000 coins minimum.

Odds are as follows:
Uncommon 2 per pack
Rare 1:3
Super rare black and white 1:10
Super rare Chrome base or Gold Clubhouse Collection relic card 1:50
Iconic 1:500

And here are my results:
74/117
25 rare
1 Chrome super rare
7 Black and White super rare

I was able to get 5 more rare cards than expected and an additional super rare black and white. Completing 63% of the base set seems to be about right when opening the packs. Overall a fun rip and great cards for the collection.
