FINALLY! Video number 4 is here! Apologies it has taken me so long to finally re-film and edit, the last few weeks have been manic as a direct result of the XYZ Carve (as you'll see in the video).
Next video will be a tutorial taking a design from concept to creation :) If you have any questions or anything you'd like me to cover in detail, please let me know in the comments below. At these early stages I'm aiming to have a new video out each week or so.
For more information about these machines you can find out more at www.3dtek.xyz After a few people asking how else they can keep up to date on my build, I decided to setup on social with an account called 'Why Wait? 03 - XYZ Carve by 3DTek: Machine Assembly
This is the third in a series of videos documenting my 3DTek XYZ Carve build, hopefully these will be useful if you're researching CNC machines or if you're looking to upgrade from an existing machine. The new x-rail arrived and I was able to continue with my machine build. With the machine now fully assembled, I’d estimate it’s probably taken me around 12 hours to build. I think if I had to build another one from scratch I could have it done within 6-8 hours or so, avoiding the silly mistakes I made the first time round.
Really impressed with the build quality so far, a really solid machine and it looks great. As mentioned in my first video the online instructions are superb and beyond that, Ryan @ 3DTek has been incredibly helpful with quick response times to minor queries. In my next video I’ll be getting it all setup and running, ready to cut my first ever test piece.

Video #02 - a quick look at the various components built so far, a replacement part dispatched incredibly quickly by 3DTek.xyz and creating a 'maker identity' for social media :) excited to move the build along and get this thing working!
