Mixing old with new is probably one of my favorite ways to create instant character.

Found this pretty english pine sideboard at a local antique shop (negotiated with the shop owner for an even better deal).

DIY’d a piece of art. The frame we found at a thrift store for $24… added a new piece of black burlap on the side when my bestie was in town for a little art deco look/feel.

Lastly, found this amazing stone bowl for $50 at another antique shop 🤩 stems are called p***y willows from , they are already a dried out kind of a stem so they lost forever and I want to say they were around four dollars a bundle. This is three bundles total.

Dining chairs or accent chairs that is the question 😎 while these are technically “dining chairs” from .us they’re working out perrrrrrfectly for the needs we have in our small living room.

Super easy to assemble and VERY well made. The rollers could be changed out to be stationary but I love being able to move them around with ease.

Finding pieces off of marketplace, goodwill or even hand me downs are some things I absolutely treasure.

We also have a sweet little lamp for this spot just forgot to add it when I was getting the images

The character and the price tag 🏷️ are two of the things I love most when designing a space.

Found this sweet little desk off of marketplace for $25 the chair is a super solid hand me down from my mama and the Turkish pillow I found on for $5.

Still planning to fully finish the table (it just has one pass of oven cleaner wash to lighten the look) same with the chair. But for now they work and already loving this little nook.

I’m cackling.. cause of all the times my house is picked up and I get a nice shot, there are like a 1000 black beans I forgot to rinse down the drain 🤣 oh well.

Finally found outdoor furniture that’s kid friendly and mom approved 🥳

Seriously though it checked every box off my list. Comfortable, zippered,machine washable, steel framed, power washable, and comes with IG weather covers. Like, yes yes and yes!

I love trying new things (that is decorating wise).

sometimes it works other times it doesn’t, but I feel like you’re constantly evolving and learning different things. You love about your home and other things that don’t work well for it.

Found these iron chairs, the set of four for $80.

I definitely do not like the seats as they are now but underneath it says they’re solid walnut, so I will be able to lighten them to a raw wood color and add a matte topcoat finish. I may also add a very thin little seat cushion maybe like a linen pinstripe pattern.

I think they’ll work perfectly until I can find my dream chairs but we needed something now for all of the holidays coming up.
