Sure, I’m a #treehugger But I also loves me some #coldhardcash So these are the facts that make CRINGE how much I’m going to be paying for this #therme spa: 1. SECRET LEASE?!!? Are you kidding me?! McDonalds is the only mega corporation I can think of to sign these massive multi generational leases and they have made billions!! They make so much because the land in 2023 is not the same as the land in 2118!!! The people of Ontario should know what this deal is for their grandkids. This is actually public land. It BELONGS to you and me. Would you lease part of your land for 95 years and not allow your spouse to see the deal? 2. The environment. Omg hasn’t this summer given you a taste of environmental protections gone wild? Go outside and count 1500 large fully grown trees. It’s a lot y’all!! What can YOU DO? Hey! I found $7M for social services!! The air show is a multi million dollar event when people are hungry, kids are crammed in classrooms and housing is a sh*t show. To eat up this much fuel JUST FOR SH*TS AND GIGGLES is a f**king travesty. We can do better. And FYI the planes say US Navy on them so this isn’t even a celebration of Canadian military. According to my limited research only about 3000 people come to the CNE specifically for the air show. For the rest of the spectators it’s an add on. This is a quaint display of olden times and it’s about time we put it to bed. Do this look like someone who has severe chronic pain? I could choose to be on WAY more medication than I am. But I am vigilant about taking the lowest dose (or lower dose) of medication prescribed which forces me to use my natural resources. I found that when I gave my power over to “magic pills” there’s was a drop in my quality of life. I was spaced out and “waiting” for my life to get better. Waiting is a deadman’s game. So now, I dose less, use apps like @curablehealth to help manage my “sensations”, I cold plunge almost daily (the biggest pain reliever tool, even better than stuff like gabapentin) and I force myself to walk even when my pain is high…which it is in this video. But that’s ok! I know how to manage the feelings it brings up (frustration, anger, fear) which miraculously makes it less painful! I am a wimp, I hate pain, I hate that I have been dealt this particular card. But I can sit in the anger or I can start practicing acceptance and get the most out of the next 40…50…60(🙏) years as I can. Watching the #limitless doc gives me solidarity with the #healthspan community. And all this leads to DeGrowth in the pill department!! It’s a win on many sides.
