Pot bread. Or pot brood as it’s known where I’m from. I cooked bacon in the pot first, then leaving the bacon fat in the pot added flour and water, mixing it to form a stiff dough. I placed the dough back in the pit and cooked it on a low heat for about half an hour. Dense and very filling, perfect for knocking the edge off hunger.
