Have you checked out my new stash tracking app called “Yarn Store” yet? It’s in the App Store for iOS and iPadOS now! I started this app last year to make an easy to use stash tracking tool that would encourage me to be better about knitting from my stash. I’m so pleased with how it turned out and I can’t wait to introduce new features in the future! It is only on Apple platforms (and likely will remain that way) because I am a professional iOS developer and this was a side project in my free time. If you check it out, I’d love to hear what you think!

Finally taking down the Christmas decorations and I gathered all my handmade ornaments together to store them separately since so many are made with wool. I love all these ornaments… one day I want enough to decorate the tree entirely in handmade ornaments!

I cast on my second Field Shawl by using the Tweedy in “Soot” by and I’m in love with it so far! I’m using a combo of yarns from (a fi*****ng weight wool with a strand of mohair) for my contrast color. This is such a relaxing knit!

After I finished these Scattered Purl socks by .lee.knits I had to make a matching Tiny Tree Sock (also designed by Summer). These socks were knit with yarn from ! I recently finished another pair of socks by .lee.knits with another matching tiny sock… I’ll post those in the coming days! Hope you’re staying warm and safe wherever you are! Happy holidays!

I have been working on nothing but socks lately… These are Scattered Purl socks from `The Hello Sailor Sock Set` by the always amazing .lee.knits. I knit them entirely in yarn from … the bright green is from the Check Knit Out collaboration that they did with (so glad I picked up a set from that collaboration!) and the darker green is from the mini skein set that was released as part of their Soul Train collection. I was inspired photos posted a while back of their Crosshatch brioche wrap. This simple brioche wrap (designed by ) is a really relaxing project… relaxing and simple is exactly what I’ve needed from my knitting lately, if I’m being honest! I’m knitting this in Tones (in the Baseline Overtone color) and Loft (in the Caraway color). I restarted this a couple times because I was having issues with the edges of the scarf not looking clean, so I decided to go off-pattern and just do a slip stitch edge. It’s working out nicely, I think! What’s on your needles this weekend?

I made this Winter Suns Shawl as a shop sample for … it took me far longer to knit than I would have liked, but it was mostly just down to a lack of motivation. The project turned out beautifully and my “mojo” is back! Haha. This shawl was designed by and uses mosaic knitting to achieve the interesting colorwork. I knit this with Patagonia for the main color and various shades of (Loft held double or Shelter) for the contrasts. This sample is at Knit 1 and it feels so luxurious!

I have a full stack of All Ways Hats now after finishing this green one (you can see a hint of the purple on the reverse side if you look at the brim). These four hats have provided me with so much mindful knitting lately and I already have yarn for another (those two brownish skeins on the left 😍). I’ve had so much fun participating in the while making these hats too!

I finished yet another All Ways Hat by in Peerie from . This is going to be gifted to my friend’s kid to help them make it through their first Chicago winter! This reversible stockinette hat pattern has provided me with so much relaxing knitting as I’ve worked through multiple versions. I’m almost don’t with my FOURTH for the !

I’ve been a bit under the weather this weekend, so it’s been binge watching and knitting non-stop. Which means my second All Ways Hat by is flying by. Such a chill knit! I decided to do helical stripes on the second half of this reversible hat using some leftover Peerie that was in my stash.

After my last All Ways Hat, I really wanted to cast on another. I had this Peerie from in my stash, so I decided to try one in this soft, worsted spun yarn. The color is called Seaglass (and it reads a little more green in person, but it’s still a beautifully soft color). I am not sure yet what color the second half of this reversible hat will be, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I finished my All The Ways HAT BY for the BT by Knitalong and I love it! I was honestly worried it was going to be way too big when I was knitting it (… I did the adult large) but it turned out the perfect size. It’s half Loft in the colorway Foothills (the green-ish side) and half Tones Light in Wallflower Undertone. It’s such a great reversible hat and I’m happy with how these colors look together.

I cast on this All Ways Hat (designed by ) two days ago as part of the BT by KAL. This is Loft in the color Foothills and it’s creating a predictably lovely fabric. After knitting a shawl as my last project, this simple stockinette stitch hat is EXACTLY what I needed. Are you joining this KAL?

I knit these Trusty Toe-up Socks (designed by ) using a Deconstructed Fade from . I followed instructions from (who knit the same pattern with a Deconstructed Fade and left helpful notes on her project page on Ravelry) to work these socks just past where I placed waste yarn for the heel. Then, I stopped, broke the yarn and joined it to knit the heel before continuing on with the leg. This way, the fade dyed into the yarn didn’t get broken up too much by the heel like it might have if I knit the heel at the end. I modified the pattern to have no ribbing so I got a rolled stockinette cuff!

Ever start knitting a project and do NOTHING but that project until it’s done? That was me this weekend… today, I watched all of LulaRich (that was a wild ride…) while I finished this up. I’m so happy with how this worked out. @oldsaltstudios designed a BEAUTIFUL had for @brooklyntweed using Tones. I substituted Shelter for the brim and the two yarns worked wonderfully together. So, I’m gonna jump on the #lolabeanyarncoappreciation bandwagon because Adella is just a fantastic person who supports those in the knitting community no matter where they are in their journey and I LOVE TO SEE IT. When I posted in my stories that I was doing my first knit along earlier this year (or was it last… what is time anymore?!), I never would have thought that @lolabeanyarnco would donate a prize for the KAL… but Adella wanted to support what I was doing and she came through in such a big way. Not only is she talented, but she is lovely and kind and wonderful.

Finally working on the first sleeve of my Little Wave Cardigan by @gudrunjohnston and @brooklyntweed. I got a new toy for making videos, so I figured I could practice making a vid and show you all my progress at the same time! I’m knitting this on DPNs using cones of Highlands from @harrisvilledesigns in the color “Charcoal”.

I accidentally recorded this short, random clip of myself almost a year ago while trying to figure out the “real” camera I bought to up the production quality of my YouTube videos. And this Sunday will be one year to the day since I uploaded my first video! And after a whole year of this I make this confused face a little less and smile a lot more! I have LOVED building my YouTube channel and getting to meet so many more people as a result of it. And the response to my content blows my mind time and time again… I am very nearly at 20,000 subscribers (and I might hit that number before Sunday), but, most importantly, there are countless new people in my yarn-y community now that are just as passionate about knitting as I am. And that includes all of you seeing/reading this… thank you so much for being here. It’s means the world to me, truly.
