When the handsome boy came down from the stairs, all my thoughts literally flew away.

I know I had always been one to drool and crush over every single guy that comes my way but this case, his case is soo different.

I just couldn't keep my brain reasoning in one form; all the blood, cells, veins, in my brain were malfunctioning ( that is if they even exist anymore).

My head came back to default mode when Erick said he was going to leave us,,,, alone.

As if programmed, my brain went into a frenzy.

💭 " What am I going to say? What if he doesn't speak to girls like me? What if.......?"💭 All these were the thoughts going on in my head.

I kept staring at him until he snapped his fingers in front of my face.

" We're you listening to anything I was saying, or you were just drooling" he asked with a smirk plastered on his handsome face. " Okay let's rewind. Hi, I'm Darwin. And you are?"

" Tiffany"

" Okay Tiffany...,,, No Tiffany's too long; I'll call you Emma"

" But that's not even my name" I stated quite confused.

" I know, but I think it fits you just perfectly. So, Emma, is there anything you like doing other than drooling over cute guys?" He asked with so much pride laced in his voice and expression.

I thought cute guys were supposed to be nice; I mean Erick is, no wonder Erick finds him annoying.

" Well Mr, you put yourself so high; just because you have such a pretty face doesn't mean every girl will fall for your stupid charms. You have such a huge ego, but you better bring it down before I bruise it badly" I lied, surprisingly keeping a convincing face.

" Oh fiesty right? I thought you were a timid girl but I was terribly wrong. You have such a loud mouth and an attitude" he said.

" Oh I have an attitude? You're the one with his self pride as high as the walls of Jericho; but be warned, just as you said, I have a loud mouth which is like the horns that can break down your walls" I stated; factly.

" I don't think your sister would like that, we just met and you're a guest in my house, so you should be nice to me" he said with pride.

Such an IDIOTIC IDIOT!

" Believe me she's used to it. And technically, it's Erick's house and I think he would like the idea very much. I'm not gentle at all, and if you think you're stubborn and annoying, then think again because you've just met with your worst nightmare" I said face to face with him( even if he was towering over me) with a challenging smirk playing on our lips.

And to think I was actually admiring him. Pfft.

The main reason I actually came to meet them this night is because I have a surprise for Alex, and I'm afraid that if I don't tell her this night, I might burst.

Okay peeps, I don't know how, or when, bit we're currently in Erick's car, heading over to his house. I don't even know how we ended up here; the boy has a way of manipulating me to do things.

After about thirty minutes of driving 😬, we finally reached his house. Now I can't call this place a house, it's a mansion 🤯.

" Do you live here alone?" " I used to but my brother moved in with me not long ago" he said.

" How could you live in such a huge house alone? Don't you get bored or something?" I asked.

" Well I wouldn't be so bored if you'd just move in with me" he stated as a matter of fact and I gave him a look. " Chill woman, I'm just teasing okay" he said whilst chuckling.

We entered the house, and my oh my, it's wonderful. " Welcome to my humble abode"

" Aaaaa, I want to live here the rest of my life" Tiff screamed while Erick and I exchanged looks laughing.

" Yo brother, could you tell your friends to keep it down a bit" a voice said, and almost immediately, I saw a younger version of Erick descending the stairs ( by the look of things, he's a teenager). I looked over to Tiffany and smirked at her reaction.

" Who are they?" The boy asked.

" Alexa, Tiffany, meet my airheaded brother, Darwin. Darwin, this is Tiffany and Alexa. I hope that's enough intro that can sink into your tight brain".

Woah, these two must bicker a lot. " Hi Darwin, I'm Alexa, your brother's...." " Girlfriend" Erick interrupted smirking.

I can't even describe the look on Darwin's face right now. " She's your girlfriend?!! How could such a wonderful person settle for a do*****ag like you!" Darwin asked unbelievably with eyes wide. I almost laughed.

" He's joking I'm his friend". A look of relief flashed on his face and I couldn't hold back my laughter anymore. His eyes darted towards Tiffany and I didn't fail to notice the look he gave her.

" Who's she?" He asked.

" I'll leave you two to introduce yourselves while I discuss with Alex" and with that he dragged me up the stairs to his room.

" So what is it you want to discuss with me?"

" Alexa ( woah, this is one of those times he is serious and calls me by my full name) have you ever considered furthering your education"? He asked completely stunning me.

" Of course, I've always wanted that" I responded.

" Then what do you about going to college with me" Huh? " I know how much you want this, it'll be a great opportunity. Think about it".

" Erick, I'd really love to but I don't have any money" I said almost in tears.

" No no, you don't have to worry about the expenses, it's all on me" he said, and at that moment, all the years I had been holding back came rushing down. What good deed did I do in my past life to deserve someone like Erick.

" It's okay Alex" he said while pulling me into a hug.

" Thank you so much Erick, I really appreciate it" I said in tears.

" It's alright 😊".

Things has been going on pretty well for me in the past few months, and I know Erick is a big contribution to that.

After a long, stressful day at work, Tiff and I are seated on the couch watching a soap opera ( it was all Tiffany's idea, I really don't like them 🙄).

The door barged open ( y'all know who it is). "Hey guys".

" Hi Erick" we both chorused. " So what are you guys doing right now" he asked.

" Hey Erick, in case you haven't noticed, it's past 8:00pm and we're trying to relax here, so can you pipe down" I said.

" You know the only time I get to spend with you guys is during the weekend and nighttime, so why are you trying to deprive me of it" he protested.

" But where do we go by this time" I asked.

" We could go to Erick's house" Tiffany blurted.

Please remind me to cut that big mouth of hers.

" You read my mind darling, i was actually planning to take you guys to my house, and maybe you guys could sleepover and we'd have some fun" the cute jerk said.

" Sometimes I wonder if you're actually a boy or a girl. What fun do you want to have with two girls. Moreso, with one of them being a teenager" I said.

" You judge too fast Lexy. Didn't I ever tell you I have a brother around Tiff's age? They can to keep each other's company while I discuss a very pressing matter with you".

I was about saying something but Tiffany interrupted me;

" So you mean you have a brother? Like someone with the same DNA as you? And he's around my age? Oh my God! Is he as cute as you? Please tell me he is!" Tiffany rapped desperately while almost entering into Erick.

" Chill champ" Erick said while chuckling. " So what do you say Lexy?"

What does Erick want to tell me? Goshh, I don't want to go.

Hi, as you all know, I'm Erick. Erick Williams in full. I live in the city with my mum, my dad, and my very annoying brother, Darwin. I'm twenty three and I'm currently in my second year of college studying business administration in order to prepare myself for taking over the family business.

I didn't have any lectures on one Saturday morning and I decided to eat out and as usual, the girls were drooling. It happens all the time so I'm not surprised.

I got into the restaurant and that was when my eyes caught the beauty goddess at the counter.

Long brown wavy hair that did well in complimenting her big brown eyes that was piercing into my whole body. She had the perfect nose and luscious, soft, pink, lips that were inviting me. I could go on and on but the stupid counter shielded the rest of her body from view.

I guess you can call it infatuation but I don't really care.

I had to play it cool so I placed my order and Lawd 😱, my heart was melting. Her voice came out like archangels singing a sweet song and her smile was breathtaking revealing her perfectly laid set of teeth.

I knew there and then that I couldn't get enough of her so I decided to wait outside until her shift was over.

As soon as she came out, I heard her friends bidding her goodbye and that was when I knew her name is ALEXA ( beautiful name for a beautiful girl).

She seemed shocked when I called her and after offering to be her friend, she declined. But being the strong-headed guy I was, I followed her.

When we reached her house, I was honestly shocked because I couldn't imagine that a beauty like her could be living in such a house.
But I wouldn't give up.

I know she expected me to leave but I wouldn't.

She tried to argue but there was no way I was letting her win ( on top of my wonderful charms, I am quite a wonderful debater, if I may say so myself 😏).

She finally let me in and to be honest, the interior was way better than I imagined.

A teenage-looking girl flew on her body giving out a loud squeel. I'm guessing that's her sister.

To be honest, her sister was really fun to be with. The dinner ended with much taunting from me and Tiffany to Alex.

I went home happier than ever, I just kept reminiscing on her beauty ( not just facial, but her inner beauty).

I decided that if I'm ever going to stand a chance at being her lover, I have to be her friend first, so that's what I did.

I know she might see me as an annoying stalker but I can't help but want to see her beautiful face every day.

I know I've realized my feelings, but I don't even have the slightest idea if she feels the same.

✌🏽Part two ✌🏽

It's been two months since Erick came into our lives and trust me, even though I claim to hate it, I am actually enjoying every bit of it. It's like he's everywhere I am! Whenever I'm set to go out, he's always insisting on taking me, he's always buying Tiff gifts ( which honestly, I don't like it because it seems he's making me look bad in front of her). Well I've made up my mind to tell it to him the next time I see him.

🛌SATURDAY🛌

It's Saturday and I'm off duty today, and guess who greeted me on a bright Saturday morning at 7:30am; well you guessed right, it's Erick. And as usual, he came with bags🛍️.

" What are you doing here this early?" I asked in my sleep filled voice.

" Well good morning to you too Lexy" he said sarcastically. Ugh! I hate it when he calls me that ( just kidding, I love it😁). " How many times will I tell you to stop calling me Lexy? I'm not your pet or anything" I said feigning anger. " Sorry cutie pie, but I never listen. By the way is Tiff still asleep? I got some things for her" he said. " About Tiffany," I started" I really don't want you buying stuffs for her anymore". " Why?" I could clearly see he was hurt but I wasn't trying to hurt anyone's feeling. " It's nothing, just don't buy them for her anymore". " No can't do. You can't just ask me to do or not do something without having a tangible reason". Ugh! Can't this guy just give up and listen already!
" Look here Rick, Tiffany is MY sister and i decide what's good and what's not good for her, and I'm saying you buying gifts for her is not good!" I retorted already feeling pi**ed.

" Alexa, give me one tangible reason why I shouldn't" he said and I could see he was really at his peak of annoyance.

" Because I don't like it okay! I don't like how you're always buying things I could never even think in a million years I would buy for her! You're making me feel inferior, you make me feel like am not good enough as a big sister!"

I bursted all my emotions out in one cry.

" Lexy, why would you think such?" He asked in a more calm tone.

" I don't know okay, I mean it's just been two months since you've know us already attached to you, it's like you're trying to steal my sister away from me. She has never been like that with anyone except me and now, you're in the picture, taking away all the attention" I said and he looked at me unbelievably.

" Alexa, you're jealous" he said sounding amused. " No I,,,..." I paused when I realized that I had nothing to say.

" Listen, if anyone ever told you that you aren't a good big sister, the person lied. 'Cause you're the most wonderful sister I've ever met. I mean you stopped your own education just so you could send her to school. You work your butt off every single day just so she would be able to have a good life. What more could she ask for. I just thought that if I bought some of the things she wanted for her, I could relieve you of the stress a little bit. I'm sorry if I ever made you feel like you're not enough, because you're more than enough Lexy, you're wonderful" he said cupping my cheeks in his palm.

He left me speechless. I mean, I was literally feeling bad over nothing. I didn't even think in that didn't even think in that direction at all.

" I'm sorry" I finally said. " Huh?"
" I'm sorry for everything I said, I honestly didn't think about it that way at all. I guess I was just feeling insecure since I've never seen her that way with anyone else before" I said " oh typical Lexy" he said while pulling me into a hug.

" You were jealous, I get it. I mean nobody can definitely resist my charm" he said with pride. Ugh, he's back to being an annoying jerk. " Idiot" I slapped him playfully and snuggle closer into his warm, broad, accommodating chest.

I felt him smile while kissing my hair. I not really told anyone, but I really like his presence. With almost anyone and everyone else, I'm always shy, reserved, and timid. But with him, I feel like I can do anything.

From his cheeky remarks, to his words of encouragement, and his really flirty behavior ( yeah, Erick is a real flirt. And don't tell anyone, but that's the part I love about him best).

I think I like Erick, and I see myself falling in love with him slowly.

I know it's too fast but no matter how much I try, I can't help loving him.

But that's not my main problem. My fear is him not liking me back. He might think I'm one of those girls that just want to take all of his money away ( yeah, he's so freaking rich. I recently got to know that he's the heir to Williams and Co. , one of the biggest building companies in the state).

I really don't want my heart broken. I just want to be happy with my sister. Is that too much to ask?

HI, MY NAME IS ALEXA !

Introduction into my life 😊:

Hi, my name is Alexa. Yep, that's it, just Alexa. You might be wondering " Just Alexa? Doesn't she have a surname?", And you'd be right. All I remember is waking up one day and finding myself at the side of an abandoned house. Even at nineteen, I still don't know if I'm an orphan, or just an alien that fell outta the sky. Someway, somehow, I've managed my life up till this point. And here's another thing to know about my weird life, I have a sister. Well technically, she's not my sister. I just woke up one day, opened my door, and found a sweet, cute 7 year old looking girl sleeping right outside my doorstep ( that was six years ago). I just couldn't keep that adorable cutie outside so I took her in and we've been living together ever since. You might be wondering how I've been living alone ever since then, well I've always had my ways of surviving 😉.
Working so many jobs at once, I was able to finish high school but couldn't continue to college because I had to send Tiffany to school ( i.e my little sister) through the money I am earning. At least if I can't be fully educated, she should.
Enough about that now. Now that you have a little insight on me, let's get down to business.

TUESDAY MORNING 🌞
Tiff had already gone to school and I had to go to one of my jobs where I work as a waitress. During weekends, Tiff works in the restaurant with me. Anyways, things were going pretty normal until I heard murmurings from different corners of the restaurant. I looked up to see the cause of the murmurings and the sight I saw blew my mind. A boy about my age or older was walking in, looking so dreamy with dark brown eyes that could melt a rock 😍, and his mind-blowing outfit........ I was so lost staring that I didn't know he was right in front of me. Oh gosh, his smile was killing. "Hi", Jesus!!!, I think I stopped breathing!! It was until my workmate nudged me that I jolted back to my senses. " Welcome to Patty's restaurant, what may I get you" I said with my most appeasing smile 😊. " I'll like some chicken noodle and créme brulée to go please". " Sure thing, gimme a few minutes". I was placing his order, trying to ignore his intense stare at me. " Here you go". " Thank you".

All through the day the image of that cute boy kept flashing in my head. How can someone be so good.., no perfect- looking!. I was even more stunned when I came out to meet him leaning against the wall like he was waiting for someone. I tried to just ignore him and leave but halted abruptly in my steps when I heard him call my name. " Huh?" " Don't be surprised, I heard someone calling you so that's how I knew your name" I mouthed an "oh". " Well what do you want from me?" I asked. " Nothing much, I just want to know you, that's all" " Well I don't so thank you for the effort but I don't want any friend right now, thanks" with that said, I started to leave. " Can I at least walk you to wherever you're going?" He yelled. " No thank you". But he was stubborn and continued following me, disturbing me with talks that didn't interest me 🙄🙄. I never knew such a handsome guy could be such a talkative.

Soon I got home, and as expected, Tiff was home already and the blabbermouth whose name I now know to be Erick was still with me. " Hey Rick, I want to go in now so, bye". " Oh, so my nickname is Rick now, I love it. Anyways I'm not leaving, I'm coming in with you. I'm a guest and you should treat me like one" he said. Honestly, I was stunned. Such boldness 🤨. After some back and forth argument ( which I knew I didn't stand a chance at winning), I allowed him to come in.
"Alee###" Tiff shrieked immediately she saw me. " Who's this hottie you came home with? Wait, is this future brother-in-law!?" Jeez, where did she learn that, she's just fourteen for Christ sake. Before I could even say anything, Rick beat me to it " No pumpkin, I'm just her friend. She invited me over for dinner". He is such a wonderful liar, when did I invite him for dinner and when did we become my friends. " Really? I never knew Alex had friends, she was alwa..." I clamped her mouth shut with my hands. This girl is going way out of line.

We all sat and had dinner and he and Tiff were getting along pretty well and I was wondering if he was trying to steal my sister away from me. Both of them were making fun of me which I honestly didn't like. " And one time," Tiff continued while laughing " Alex wore my clown make-up throughout the whole day without even noticing, she was such a clown". Tiff said in-between the laughter they were both sharing. " Ha ha, laugh all you want, I honestly was tired that day and I didn't know" I defended. " Well I don't know what your reasons were, I just wish I was there to see it" the annoying jerk said. "Well you don't have to be a jerk about it" I muttered but obviously, it wasn't low enough because he smirked while saying " Well I'm in your life now so be ready to receive them every, single, day". Why did I even let him in, in the first place 😒.

Well, welcome to my world which will obviously not be the same after the intervention of ERICK.
