🆕 NEW REVIEW: “CALIFORNIAN METALCORE OUTFIT HELD MANCHESTER IN THE PALM OF THEIR HANDS.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Of Mice & Men wasted no time when they hit the stage, kicking off with their new single “Another Miracle.” It was so fresh that Manchester was hearing it live for the first time. Next came “Feels Like Forever” and “Would You Still Be There,” which quickly got the crowd singing and raising their phones in unison.

🆕NEW INTERVIEW: Meet : “BE BRAVE, TAKE THE LEAP – GREATER THINGS ARE OUT THERE.”

Think of it like this: if the power of Lady Gaga and her powerful one-liners that instill that self-belief met a heavy metal war cry, you would have Ruena’s discography. As always, conversations with female artists feels more like talking to friends. Women understand that battle that we all share and continue to motivate others with. Her music feels like the soundtrack to our lives, and I got the pleasure of speaking to her about what motivates her, the music journey thus far, and of course her new music out now.

🆕 NEW:
📍Brixton, London

Supporting was Anxious a band that exists in the intersection of hardcore and pop-punk, being both disciplined and vulnerable. Since emerging from Connecticut’s DIY scene, they have earned attention due to their compact songs, honest delivery and tireless jumping and theatrics on stage. Their material borrows a lot of elements from emotional post-punk, classic pop-punk and introspective lyrics. The band approached the room cautiously, inviting the audience to step closer.

🆕 NEW:
📍Brixton, London

Supporting was Boston Manor who followed with a sharper shift in tone. Their evolution has been deliberate, by shedding early pop-punk skin in favour of darker, more industrial-leaning alt-rock textures.

Their songs and stage presence is much more interested in mood, atmosphere and discomfort; they are not the soundtrack to care-free summers, but the unease that comes when the first drops of autumnal rain hits. As expected, their set was moodier, darker, heavier and more aggressive, with the lighting reflecting their preference of shadow over spotlight.

🆕 NEW REVIEW: “NECK DEEP BRING PRECISION POP-PUNK CHAOS TO LONDON.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 out of five

Pop-punk is often treated like emotional improvisation - it is all heart but no blueprint. Yet, Neck Deep’s London show proved the opposite. This was not just nostalgia on autopilot or a youthful reckless heated gig, but a tightly engineered release of pressure and chaos, operating with clinical efficiency. London didn’t just get a throwback, it got a well-oiled machine and a spectacle for the books.

🆕 NEW REVIEW: .holland.official “JOOLS HOLLAND TURNS YORK INTO A RHYTHM & BLUES HOUSE PARTY.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jools Holland doesn’t play York Barbican like it’s just another stop on his tour. He plays it like he’s popping round a favourite local, the sort of place where the staff know your name and the piano’s already been warmed up. From the moment he bounds onstage, grinning and already mid-chat, this feels like an annual gathering that just happens to feature one of the tightest big bands in the country.

🆕NEW: .otway
📍Stockton Arc Theatre

Supporting .official John Otway opened proceedings like a man who’s never acknowledged a rulebook. Fifty years on, he’s still running his comedy-routine-meets-gig with gleeful disregard for convention.

His roadie “Deadly” takes a steady stream of comedy abuse, Otway himself veers between chaos and charm, and the whole thing is deliberately unpolished and unhinged. His talky version of Sweet’s ‘Blockbuster’, played on that ridiculous double mirrored-neck guitar, is both tribute and send-up – a reminder that British pop music has always thrived on characters, and John Otway is up there with the best, the Tommy Cooper of pop music.

🆕 NEW REVIEW: .official “GLAM SURVIVORS ROLL INTO TEESSIDE WITH RIFFS INTACT, VOLUME HIGH AND MEMORIES FIRING.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet arrive without ceremony and immediately hit ‘Action’. From the front of the standing area, the impact is physical. This band are loud, tight, and far heavier than their glittery reputation suggests. Andy Scott – the sole original member remaining – stands firm and drives the sound, his guitar tone sharp and assertive. There’s nothing tentative here, no sense of easing an audience through the decades. ‘Hellraiser’ is second up, and that tone continues - The Sweet were always a hard rock band underneath the glitter and glam.

🎄MUSIC NEWS 🎄
The battle for the Christmas number one has come to an end and the Princess of pop has claimed the top spot. The festively feel good track XMAS beat Whams! Last Christmas.

The single is taken from a new, expanded edition of her 2015 album Kylie Christmas, and was available exclusively through Amazon. Every year the Christmas race is a prestigious contender and this year was a close one. Chart data stated that “The competition for was tight right the way through the week. At one point, only 10,000 copies separated the top five songs.”

However Kylie’s music video was full of wholesomeness as she shows teaches a dance to a group of children and adults.

On receiving the accolade she said: “Being Christmas number one really is the most wonderful gift. I’m so thankful to everyone who’s been listening and sharing the love and I’m wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.”

If that’s not enough Kylie has also become the first woman to have number one singles across four different decades. A well deserved achievement 🎁
