Mantra Collective flying the flag for Direkt & Viceversa in Melbourne as part of their Debut Australian Tour.

We're officially one month out from our event and have been overwhelmed by the response! We've gone a long time without international DJ's and now have the opportunity to bring you 2 European selectors on top of their game.

Last year was a tough year for Thinc with release delays and our debut event cancelled. However this has given us time to sit back and really refine our vision.

After quite the hiatus during a time of development and growth for all, Thinc is back! We have some exciting things to announce over the next couple of weeks but we’d like to start off by kick starting our new Thincast series - SEASONS.

We will be collecting mixes from artists we highly revere either behind the dj booth or in the studio, or both. One of our core beliefs is quality over quantity, which is why we will release 6 episodes every season, every year. The artwork theme for each Season will be designed by the infinitely talented Claudiu Stefan.

We are so excited to present the first episode of Season #1 which features one of the deepest diggers we know, Shaggie. This collector has started his own imprint, Rare Gems, which features high energy tracks of his own as well as Alex Tea, Teluric, LuckIsOn and Imbue. Shaggie’s tracks have received plays from some of the greats including Raresh, Ricardo Villalobos, Thomas Franzmann aka Zip, Priku, Petre Inspirescu and many others. The Italian vinyl connoisseur recorded this special mix for us during his lockdown and we hope you enjoy it.

Drawing from the title ‘Raw Duties’, Alex Florea & Silviu Tănase give us four chronic, cutting-edge tracks.

‘Raw Duties’ speaks for itself as a percussion-heavy groover filled with eerie synth pads, a punching bassline and subtle vocals. ‘Bold’ introduces itself with it’s pungent bassline, keeping this trippy roller on track as psychedelic sounds, effects & vocals immerse this monster.

On the B-side, ‘Sit With Me’ stands strong in this EP with ALSI’s renown syncopated beat and forceful bassline offering the perfect hypnotic groove. Last but definitely not least, we have ‘The Light’, a weird yet seductive track, comprising of bright keys, and soaring synths that crescendo throughout.

Bogdan Ardeleanu has been releasing some of our favourite dancefloor gems for years under the renown trio, Lisière Collectif. In 2019, he decided to release some personal productions on his own label Geodesic which took the scene by storm. Since, his top selling EP on Atipic has made this artist one to watch!

Definitely one to look out for this year is the Parisian producer and DJ, RWN who brings us the 4th volume of the Thincast series.

After getting early attention from Romanian royalty namely Herodot, Crihan, Sepp and others, RWN's punchy basslines and rolling grooves give flow and energy to the sets they fall in. Formally one half of Cobbra, RWN has since been welcomed to the Fake Society family which no doubt will guide the young French talent to great lengths.
