"When I asked my 11-year-old son to help me unload dirt from our small pickup into his mother’s new garden boxes, his reaction was typical.

“Ummmm… I’m busy right now,” He said.

He was playing Roblock on the family laptop, wearing sweat pants and an old T-shirt, lounging on the sofa, feet on the coffee table.

“No you’re not,” I said.

There was a fight, moaning, excuses... the usual.

Moments later, we were next to a wheelbarrow shoveling dirt. He looked at me with flat eyes, his hood up, shoulders slumped, and said, “Why do we have to do this?”

I thought for a moment, because I’ll admit, it was a valid question. Neither of us were all that into flowers or vegetables, or any of the things that would be grown in those garden boxes. But my wife, Mel, loves gardening.
I thought, and he waited, and finally I said, “When you love someone, you serve them.”

I went on, telling him that I want him to grow up to be the kind of man who serves his family, friends, and community.

“This” I said while gesturing to the dirt, and the garden boxes I built the weekend before, and the wheelbarrow and shovel, and the first of many truckloads of dirt we would unload over the next few weeks, “Is what love looks like.”
He didn’t like my answer. I could see it in the way he reluctantly picked his shovel back up.
We finished unloading the dirt. The next day, while I was at work, and the kids and Mel had the day off because it was between terms, Mel sent me this picture. Mel picked up another load of dirt and before she had a chance to unload it, Tristan voluntarily started working. When she asked him “why,” he shrugged and said, “Because I love you.”

I’d never been prouder of my son."

Strory Time!!!

A story is told of baboons and monkeys🦍🦍🐒🐒 who heard that the man who used to chase them away from the maize field had died, they hysterically celebrated.
The following year there was no Maize, that's when they painfully realised the dead man was the farmer!

Not all enemies are enemies.

Short Story of the Day:

A person asked a question to his Guru.. "My workers are not true to me.. My children, my wife and the entire world is very selfish.. No body is correct."

Guru smiled and told a story..

In one small village there was a room with 1000 mirrors. One small girl used to go inside and play.! Seeing thousands of children around her she was joyful..

She would clap her hands and all the 1000 children would clap back at her..

She considered this place as the world's happiest n beautiful place and would visit often..

This same place was once visited by a sad n a depressed person..

He saw around him thousands of angry men staring at him..

He got scared and raised his hands to hit them and in return 1000 hands lifted to hit him back..

He thought... this is the worst place in the world and left that place..

This world is also a room with 1000 mirrors around you... What we let out of us is what the universe will give back to us.!!

"This world is a heaven. Or Hell.. It's up to us what we make out of it..." said the Guru..

10 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱

1. 𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗚𝗢𝗔𝗟𝗦, 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗡’𝗧 𝗕𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗗

Rather than spending time on things that don’t make you grow, know yourself and what you want to become. Invest your energy on working to reach your goals but don’t feel pressured and allow yourself to experience failures.

2. 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙-𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘

Growing up, you may have been dependent on your parents, siblings, friends, and other people around you, and they might undeniably made your life easier. But in reality, not everyone can be there for someone forever. Each of us deals with our own battles, and you have to learn how to overcome them alone. It will make you stronger and more prepared to a much difficult trail.

3. 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙-𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟

Learn to control your emotions, actions, and temper. Learn to reflect, evaluate, and analyze the ends before it begins. Never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.

4. 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘

Understand that you can never control everything. When you face a loved one’s death, rejection, failure, heartbreak, etc., learn to quickly move forward, and the first step to that is acceptance.

5. 𝗕𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗, 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚

The most common reason for unhappiness is not learning to be contented. Count what you have and work for what you don’t have; complaining won’t make a thing.

6. 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗢𝗨𝗦

Find joy in other people’s success while working on yours. Other people's success will never threaten yours. Other people's blessings will never take away yours.

7. 𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗗 𝗡𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦

Surround yourself with positive people. Condition your mind with positive thoughts. Engage yourself in a positive environment, and eliminate anything that doesn't contribute a positive effect.

8. 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙-𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

Accept and love yourself; it is the first step to build confidence. Go out of your comfort zone. You will never know where your confidence will take you.

9. 𝗕𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡-𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗

Accept constructive criticisms as they will help you grow. Be open to suggestions, opinions, and changes. An open-minded person accepts his mistakes, makes improvements, and therefore is more likely to achieve success.

10. 𝗕𝗘 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗗

The world might be cruel but when you start sharing kindness, sooner it will become a better place to live. Be kind to yourself and to everyone.

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Because someone bumped into me!!!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?

Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting-tendencies?

Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others. 🤗

The Jim Thorpe Story
This is Jim Thorpe. Look closely at the photo, you can see that he's wearing different socks and shoes. This wasn't a fashion statement. It was the 1912 Olympics, and Jim, represented the U.S. in track and field. On the morning of his competitions, his shoes were stolen. Luckily, Jim ended up finding two shoes in a garbage can. That's the pair that he's wearing in the photo. But one of the shoes was too big, so he had to wear an extra sock. Wearing these shoes, Jim won two gold medals that day.
This is a perfect reminder that even when life isn't fair the question is what are you going to do about it today? Whatever you woke up with this morning; stolen shoes, ill health, failed relationships, failed business, don't let it stop you from running your race. You've got an impact to make so get on with living. You can have reasons not to or you can have results...but you can't have both.

This picture teaches us one important lesson.

Today you are flying up the sky, tomorrow you will need someone on the ground to carry you. So be humble, love people and invest in people.

LESSONS: Remember no matter how big flying object you are, some thing can carry you that can never fly.Never underestimate people below you, carry them above if you can but never push them down.

Just remove your worries

My Grandmother always cooked tasty food. But one day, she put a burnt pie in front of my Grandpa.
Not just a little burnt, but black as coal.
I waited to see what my Grandpa would say.
But he just ate the pie n asked how my day was.
Then i heard my Grand Mother apologize to him for his dinner.
I'll never forget his response.
"Dear, i like ur pie."
Later, i asked him if he had told the truth.
He put his arm on my shoulder n said, "Ur Grandma had a tough day at work."
"She was tired."
"The burnt pie didn't harm me but, a sharp word could've hurt her."
We all make mistakes.
We shouldn't focus on mistakes but, support those we love.
