✨EPISODE 23: interview with Mr. Nate Noorlander from the The Nomadic Professor ✨

History is a fascinating subject full of drama, suspense, war, courage, and strength, but it can often be presented as boring and unexciting. The Nomadic Professor's high school history curriculum has found a way to bring history to life in an exciting and engaging way: by going on-location.

Mr. Noorlander (co-creator of the Nomadic Professor and long time teacher) walks us through the origins of the Nomadic Professor and what makes their on-locations lessons so unique and interactive. Through this interview, we also dive into the importance of critical thinking and how to become an active and engaged learner of history!

I left this conversation with so much food for thought and a renewed excitement to learn history and my hope is you will too!

This is one of my favorite episodes!! You will not want to miss this one!

✨EPISODE 22: Interview with Dr. Shormann✨
Math can often be a frightening subject in homeschooling, especially when it comes to high school and studying for standardized tests or taking AP classes. A common misconception about homeschoolers is that we are unable to pursue advanced math courses and are unprepared for the SAT and other college entrance exams. However, that is simply not true due largely in part to teachers like Dr. David Shormann. Using his extensive knowledge of math and science, Dr. Shormann has created incredible math and science curriculums dedicated to preparing students to succeed in college and beyond! We are so grateful to Dr. Shormann for taking the time to talk with us today, sharing more about his curriculum and advice for successfully teaching math in high school. My family has been using DIVE Into Math and Science for 3 years, and it has been a huge blessing in our lives and has led me to consider pursuing engineering in college. ✨EPISODE 21: Interview with Dr. Jay L. Wile ✨
One of the main questions proposed to high school homeschoolers is "How are you possibly going to learn upper-level science from home?" To some it seems like an impossible task. But that is far from the truth! High School science certainly was a concern for my family until we discovered Dr. Wile and his homeschool science curriculum (Berean Builders Publishing, Inc.) Dr. Wile is a nuclear chemist invested in creating quality science curriculum for homeschoolers and also encouraging the homeschooling community through speaking and teaching. Through his curriculum, my entire family has grown to love and excel in science. Join me (Nadine) today, as I receive the privilege of interviewing Dr. Jay Wile. He shares the story of how he first connected to the homeschooling community and started writing curriculum. He also offers advice and encouragement to the student and family surrounding learning science at home! You will NOT want to miss this episode!
