GAL012: Grev Trold - Salten Livsjagt

Harsh dungeon black metal from the Danish peninsula of Jutland, where local folklore tell of a deranged ruthless pirate, who caused havoc on the seas some time before recorded history. Taking it's name from said pirate, this Jutlandian solo project takes no prisoners with an uncompromising and sometimes unhinged expression, that blends raw black metal with bombastic folky dungeon synth in a resolute and cruel follow up to 'Offerbugten' (GAL009) from last year.

Grev Trold is a solo project of C. Haxholm, who since 2015 has released dungeon synth and black metal as Henbane and Seiðr on Gondolin Records, Nattetale, Tour de Garde, Hævngær and Moral Defeat. 'Salten Livsjagt' was released on pro-tape limited to 100 copies at Dark Dungeon Festival in Belgium last week, with remaining copies available on the Galvorn Bandcamp page April 16th at 22:05 CEST together with other new tape releases with Lord Bakartia and An Old Sad Ghost. GAL011: An Old Sad Ghost - Dürre Heide & Ertrunkene Tote

Haunting ruminations and lofi black metal from the darkest corners of the Lord Sargeburt discography. Cathartic urfaustesque atmospheres fade out as the bottom of the well of sadness is reached during the final 30 mins of melancholy death ambient.

An Old Sad Ghost should need no further introduction at this point, as this Austrian solo project has been proliferating his beautiful tormented art on various labels and formats in the last few years, including 'Depressive & Doleful' (GAL004) back in 2021.

'Dürre Heide & Ertrunkene Tote' is releasing on pro-tape limited to 70 copies at Dark Dungeon Festival in Belgium this week, and on the Galvorn Bandcamp page April 16th at 22:05 CEST together with other new tape releases with Lord Bakartia and Grev Trold. GAL010: Lord Bakartia - Uhrikivi

Maleficent raw dungeon black metal from the Biscay Province. Sanctified solitude and fierce vehemence work in unison on this emotional lo-fi full length, that melds caustic riffing with strident vocals and archaic synth atmospheres.

Lord Bakartia has been making an impact in the dungeons under a few different names in the last five years, always exploring the darker levels with fervour and tenacity. Recent releases include the epic 3-way split with Criptadel and Khüll on Forsaken Relics, and an emphatic cover version on the recent reissue of Gothmog's Medieval Journeys on Gondolin Records.

'Uhrikivi' is Finnish for a standing stone used for pagan rituals, and was inspired in part by recent travels in Finland. It is releasing on pro-tape limited to 100 copies at DARK DUNGEON FESTIVAL II in Belgium next week, and on the Galvorn Bandcamp page April 16th at 22:05 CEST together with other new tape releases with An Old Sad Ghost and Grev Trold.

Deranged and demonic dungeon black metal from Denmark. A frenetic, gnarly and howling descent into eerie feverish hallucinations about brutality and sacrifices in a cold distant mythological past.

While 'Offerbugten' is the debut of a new project, it is far from the first time the artist behind it has gone to this place for cathartic outlet, as we also find it explored with his dungeon synth project Henbane and in the black metal of Seiðr. Ildganger is a new solo project emerging from the Danish underground scene to present an explosive fiery debut. GAL007: Longsword - Divine Radiance I & II

Brave shining dungeon noise for the enlightened adventurer. Raw otherworldly questing music reminiscent of ancient RPG soundtracks and lofi black metal recorded in 2021 on synth and drum machine. Longsword is a solo project by Myst of Somme, Nocturnal Effigy, Coniferous Myst et. al., who hereby makes his first appearance under the Gondolin & Galvorn banner.

Previously released in two US-only DIY tape editions on Lost Armor Records. This full-length compilation makes both parts available internationally for the first time, and will be released as a pro-tape limited to 100 numbered copies. The raw symphonic experimentalism of Mories’ Germanic witch incarnation portrays a bombastic, climactic battle with the God Dragon, , culminating in an inferno of suitably epic intensity.

First released through Grey Matter Productions in a small tape run in 2017, and now available in a larger edition with updated artwork, from Gondolin Records sister-label, Galvorn. Cassettes are available to order from the label now, or support the artist directly, and pick up the digital files from the Gnaw Their Tongues site.
