Phobia (The Short) was shot in the Summer of 2006. It played at the 2007 New Filmmakers Film Festival in NYC in October. The film was a prequel to script that had been optioned, and was in preproduction when Hurricane Katrina shut it down.

On Election night 2004, (more than one lifetime ago) a Los Angeles based agent was getting me and my then writing partner, drunk in Santa Monica, then signing us. Later that night, my writing partner wandered off and disappeared. When he finally answered his cell, all he could tell me was the bank ATM that he was sitting next to. That was a helluva night. Wandering around the streets of LA until I found him, then making it back to our rental, then me driving in LA for the 1st time, almost making it to Mexico. That began a very complicated year... Eventually in 2006, we made our 1st short film as a prelude to the script we optioned... I don't give the links out to my 1st two films because the were union signatory films. So, the films are available to be seen (somewhere) online.

Looking for extras and small speaking roles for a high-end proof of concept horror/thriller set to premiere in festivals from Spring 2016 -Fall 2016 and further turned into a feature. Equipped with fabricated weapons and tactical gear. These characters have some lines and presence in two scenes. Large, strong build. Clean cut. Experience in film is ideal and will receive preference.

II. Villagers (30-40):

Featured extras needed to play roles as a village of cannibals. Will be on camera and bloodied up with special FX gore and makeup. Looking for: an emaciated look to skinny build. All ages welcome. Acting experience is ideal. Will need 8 children (3-10 years of age), 2 infant children, and 20-30 adults (18-75 years old).

III. Sons of village ring leader (3):

Youth 7-12 years. Skinny to regular build. Acting experience or involvement in film is required. Will play a secondary role to lead actor in pivotal scene with powerful lines to deliver. Will be put in makeup and FX gore as needed.

So, watching a trailer for the new Kat Dennings' film To Write Love on Her Arms... and it looks very familiar. This "2015" feature film beat out my short film, Who Stabbed Reno England...? in 2012 for Best Casting at the FMPTA Crystal Reel Awards. The film may be a 2015 film, but it was shot back in 2011.
