Flamingos have always been some of my favorite animals! 🦩✨ What they represent as a mama means a lot to me. If you’ve ever seen a flamingo that is a faded shade of pink. It’s likely that this flamingo is a mama with babies. I’ve learned that when flamingos bring babies into the world, they become so immersed in motherhood. Sound familiar?! 🥹🙆🏻‍♀️ These amazing creatures become so focused on caring for their littles, they often forget to eat or get adequate sleep. Once the babies grow up and become more independent the flamingo mamas start to remember to care for themselves again. They slowly get their pink back 🙌🏼🦩 I love this representation. As a mama who absolutely can relate to years that I didn’t prioritize taking care of myself, and “lost my pink” it reminds me the importance of self care. We need to pour into our kiddos, and lord knows that is a job that some days requires you to give your all.

💕We must also remember that we are teaching them how to care for themselves when they grow older, by being the example. There is a balance of giving them our all, and replenishing so we aren’t trying to pour from an empty cup. 🫶🏻 to the mama reading this who feels their pink fading. Just know you’re doing a great job, and it’s okay to take a moment to prioritize YOU to be the best you can be for them! 🥰💗
