White Island is located in the northwestern part of Camiguin’s jurisdiction. It is nearest to the coast of Agoho, Mambajao. White Island is a white sand bar which forms the letter C or I depending on the mood of the waves that hit the island. It is ideal for swimming and snorkeling but not for those who have sensitive skins as there are no shades or shelter in the area. Outrigger boats for rent are available at Caves Dive Resort, Paras Beach Resort and nearby beaches. ⛱️⛵

Believed to be haunted, no one permanently resides on Lamanok, which traditionally is only visited by shamans or spiritual healers, locally called tambalan or babaylan, who perform diwata ritual offerings at Lamanoc Cave to heal the sick or cursed, or to ask for bountiful harvests. Chickens or manok in the local tongue are frequently the sacrifice of choice. According to our guide, there are around 20 tambalans (shamans) still practicing in Anda. Since 2004, ritual sacrifices are still periodically performed to appease the spirits and keep the area open for tourists.
