When we first started this podcast, we didn't know a lot about juvenile justice reform but we have learned so much throughout this journey. As we mentioned in our recent bonus episode, we've had so many people reach out asking what they can do to help. Because of this, we've started a petition to hopefully help bring about change for Heath and many others that were sentenced to life without parole at the age of 20 or younger in Arkansas. We also talk with Kaleem Nazeem, a former inmate who served time with Heath, about his advocacy and the under 21 bill, his experience being incarcerated for almost 30 years and what life has been like after being released.

Our partnership has an interesting backstory we thought important to share.

Hunter met Heath a couple of years ago while working as an outside contractor on a project at Tucker Max. Heath works in the boiler room at the prison and their paths crossed frequently. They formed a friendship during that time and Heath introduced Hunter and his wife Ashlyn Hoggard Everett to us. They quickly became part of the Life Without team and strong supporters of Heath.
