The late king of a certain community had ten wild dogs. He used them to torture and eat any of his servants who made a mistake.

One of the servants gave an opinion that was wrong, and the king didn't like it at all. So he ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs. The servant said, "I served you for ten years, and you do this to me? Please give me ten days before throwing me to those dogs!" The king agreed.

In those ten days, the servant went to the guard who looks after the dogs and told him he would like to serve the dogs for the next ten days.

The guard was baffled but agreed, and the servant started feeding the dogs, cleaning for them, bathing them, and providing all sorts of comfort for them. When the ten days were over, the king ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs for his punishment.

When he was thrown in, we were all amazed to see the ravenous dogs only licking the feet of the servant! The king, baffled at what he was seeing, said, "What has happened to my dogs?" The servant replied, "I served the dogs for only ten days, and they didn't forget my service.

Yet I served you for a whole ten years and you forgot all, at my first mistake!" The king realized his mistake and ordered the servant to be set free.

This post is a message to all those who forget the good things a person does for them as soon as the person makes a mistake towards them.

The Choice I Made

Episode 5

It's been over seven months since Blessing left Nigeria. Her number isn't connecting anymore and she has not called as she promised Preye she will call her immediately after she gets there. Preye became worried that there's no single day that passes by she will not try Blessing's number to know if it will get connected.

Mama, I'm thinking if I should go to Memgbe, Blessing's village, and know if her siblings have heard from her ever since she traveled. Preye suggested.

Yes, it's important but since you don't know how to locate her compound in Memgbe. How do think you can find it? Preye's Mother asked.

She has described her place to me and her Surname is Tamunotonye. I will concentrate on searching for Tamunotonye's family. If I couldn't find it I will come back. After all is not far from here and it isn't a place one can get lost.

The next day, Preye left for Memgbe and as luck may have it she located her compound. It was a very large family that deserves to be given an autonomous community. Nobody would give Preye answers about Blessing's whereabouts apart from Dagogo who is Blessing's Immediate younger sister whom they told her she now works and lives at Assiri with white people close to their construction site. Preye transported herself to Assiri. She met Dagogo and she told her the same thing that Blessing has never called.

But Blessing said the person that invited her is your cousin. Preye asked.

Yes, Blessing knows all our cousins because she was the one our parents brought closer to them. I don't know them all I only know their names. Dagogo explains.

Is there no way you can get the number of your cousin she stays with? Preye aske.

If I try I will get the number but my work here doesn't give me time. But I know Blessing is sound and safe. Dagogo said.

I hope so too. Preye said and moved closer to Dagogo. These white people, do they need more workers because I'm looking for work too. Preye whispered to her.

For now, no they are not. But you have to live here if they employ you. There's a man in charge of employing workers. Any day they will be needing a new worker I will tell him about you. Dagogo said.

Preye and Dagogo exchanged contact. Preye went home and told her mother how she went and where she went I met Dagogo.

Heeeyi! So, you mean you reached Assiri construction site today? Preye's mother asked.

Yes, mama, hahaha! Mama, you shouted as if you know where the construction site is. Preye laughed at her Mom.

Of course, I do know Assiri too well. We have gone there when the white people newly arrived. It was rumored they were digging out gold from the ground. Many people from different villages went to see it by themselves. we went and it was all lies. Preye's mum briefly narrated a small story to Preye.

Haaa! Ehe, Mama I also told Dagogo she should let me know when her boss will be employing people so I will go and apply.

No, you can't try it. Transporting yourself every day from here to Asiri and coming back, do you know how much it will cost a day or do you think because they are white people they will pay you a million? Preye's Mom said

This discussion is now sounding childish. Let me go and pack my garri inside it wants to rain. Preye's mother stood up and left her.

Three months later, around 10:30 at night. Preye's phone rang and it was a + number that isn't a Nigerian number.

Mama! Mama! Wake up oo + number is calling me. Preye woke her mother from sleep.

Pick, pick, and put it on a loud volume if it is ritual people, we will know.

Preye picked and place on a loud volume. It was Blessing. Preye shouted that her voice startled Victory from sleep and got him crying. She rushed outside because Victory's cry started disturbing the call. They talked for hours on the phone. The phone call ended with Blessing inviting Preye over and telling her plenty of money flows where she is.

The call ended Preye rushed inside and happily told her mother that Blessing in inviting her over.

Hmmm! Preye this is what we will talk about tomorrow. Let's not wake Victory up from sleep again. Preye's mother said.

Babe, I'm just thinking. Since our house rent will be due by December, isn't it better if we consider looking for a smaller apartment in another area where things are more affordable? Ken suggested to Susan.

Ok, a smaller house like...? Susan asked rolling her eye.

Eeeerh, I think a room and parlor or two bedroom room what do you think? Ken said.

Ain't you forgotten something here? A room and parlor or a two-bedroom room apartment can not accommodate half of the things we have in this house. Our bed is six by seven. None of these newly constructed houses can accommodate it. Aaaah! I can't imagine myself living in all this noisy and dirty environment because that's the only place we can get afford a house. Susan said looking straight at Ken's.

Baby, we will adapt...

Adapt you say? Oh, Ken! I was expecting you to tell me something different. Adapt? That means we are living there for God knows when or probably we are living there forever. Babe, there must be another way. Susan interrupted Ken.

What else would you rather have me say? I know wherever we are moving to we won't leave there forever. It's just for a while okay. Ken assured Susan but deep down Ken has already known his name is been dented. No organization we ever offer him a job.

I strongly believe that something positive will happen. Stop thinking. At least I now have a job. I'm getting paid and with the way I'm putting all my effort I might be promoted soon. So, you better put a smile on your face to brighten it because your face looks like an old papa's face. Susan said to Ken.

Hahaha! Am I, not an old papa? Is it because you are calling me baby, baby up and down making me feel like I'm boy yoyo? See you that started working yesterday are talking about promotion hahaha! The next day Susan came back from work feeling sad that she walked past Ken without greeting him like she used to. Ken noticed her mood and followed her immediately.

Hey babe, what's wrong? Did you come back with this face from your office? Tell me, what's wrong? Ken curiously asked.

I'm getting tired of this whole work! All the time do this all the time come to my office. No single rest each day. Susan lied to Ken. She only got off from phone with Jide who was telling her unpleasant things.

Common baby, nothing good comes easy. Everything thing we do requires sacrifice and patience. You were talking about promotions just the other. You can't get the promotion without continuously struggling, sacrificing your time, tolerance, and endurance. You have me, baby by your side. I will always guide you and tell you what to do. I hate to see you go through this stress. Hey! brighten up your face. Trust me very soon you will master the whole system. Ken said while Susan slowly rested her head on Ken's shoulder.

Susan was invited by Jide to his office for a brief meeting. There was a butterfly in her belly because she doesn't know what Jide wants to talk about.

You will never change Susan. Call me Jidenna or Jide and save sir for the old me. Well, I called you here because I want to thank you for the new idea of awareness you created. It generated a huge demand that got us to sell all our products. You did well I must commend you. Jide said.

Wow! I'm so happy to hear that and thanks to my team too because they are cooperative and supportive. I can't wait to break the news to them. Susan excitedly said.

Yeah, you are right. You see Susan, you are intelligent and smart. During this short period you have stayed in this company you have made so much impact. Susan, I want to be close to you. Something in me keeps telling me I have a lot to learn from you. Just let me in I promise your life will never remain the same again. I will do anything humanly possible to make you live your dream life. Jide said leaving his seat and sat on his desk very closer to Susan. Don't bother about your husband knowing he's not going to find out unless you will tell him because I won't.

Jide, raised Susan's jaw with one finger as she was sp*echless facing the floor. He kissed her waiting for Susan to push him away but such didn't happen. He grabbed her and sat her on his desk. He hurriedly unzips his trouser and had his way in-between Susan's leg.

I saw this post about killing fowls.

I used to be a very fearful person until one day, during my secondary school days. I was on holiday, my mom wanted to cook and she needed to use chicken😂
As the only child at home, she asked me to catch this fowl and kill😂😂

She locked us up in a small passage; the fowl, I and she. She had a cane with her, then she asked me to catch the fowl(Shey you’ve not done subway in reality) 😂😂 I was crying, the fowl was running too, she flogged me till I carried the fowl and you know that break dance that fowls dance when you carry them. She was flogging me, I was crying so I held the fowl well till I had a strong grip😭

She said she wanted to flog FEAR out of me. She flogged me till I killed that fowl. I killed that fowl because I came to understand that if I didn’t kill that fowl, there’s pain waiting for me from the strokes.

Right now, I can kill fowl, turkey.. I can kill a goat as well(but it has to be held down strongly, my only business is to cut off its head)

My parents left for a night vigil and told me and my older sister to look after the house till they returned.

I was just 24, and the house was so boring after they left. My older sister was present in the house with me. When the clock struck 12:35 a.m., I decided to go outside to get some fresh air.

During the process, I got pressed. Instead of me going inside to p*e I decided to go to one of the shaded area to p*e and a paw paw tree was closeby.

While I bent down to p*e, a swarm of bats assembled and flew down to my direction. I was startled. I quickly sealed my mouth with both hands.

They flew to my direction and perched on the pawpaw tree that was closeby. The paw paw tree was very short making them to spot me easily. They were just shrieking, communicating within themselves. I diligently adjusted myself to the other end to avoid them from seeing me.

My legs were already filled with pains because I had been squatting there for over 40minutes. The bats refused to leave and anything that makes me to get up, I knew I'd be in grãve danger.

I just stood there, not too long I sighted a very dark snake of about 9ft long. It was as if it was sent by someone because it was earnestly heading in my direction. When it arrived to where I am, my entire body began to vibrate. Meanwhile, the bats continued to communicate among themselves..

I started wearing my panties, and I managed to draw up my skirt. Before my very eyes, the snake began creeping through my back, I was just mumbling and crying on my mind. My heart was about burst out of my chest. My whole body ablaze.

It climbed through my back and entered my body though my exposed chest. The worst of all was that I wasn't wearing a bra and I left my phone in my room. More p*e were just forcing out of my vãgina wetting my pants.

I was just waiting for the ground to open up and swallow me. I was sweating profusely like someone that just came out from the swimming pool.

The snake crawled though my body and later brought out its head from my waist and diligently crawled down to my skirt, and crawled down through my legs.

I could see the snake right in front of me. I decided to stare at the bats, when I turned back the snãke was no where to be found.

The bats suddenly assembled and flew away paw paw tree on which they were roosting.

I quickly adjusted my skirt and ran home with empty legs like a cheetah after a deer. I didn't care about wearing my palms likewise looking back.

When I entered the house I saw my sister sleeping, I was panting heavily. I tried waking her up but she wasn't responding.

"Jesus Christ of Nazareth what kind of temptãtion is this." I burst out in tears.

Just when I was about praying for her, my whole body started scratching me. I quickly made my way to the bathroom to take my bath.

I finished taking my bath and I went to my room to change my clothes. While I was in the room, something was telling me to go and meet my sister. I wrapped my towel quickly and sprinted over to my sister..

When I got there, I saw that same snãke crawling out of my sister's body.

I screamed "Blood of Jesus Christ!! Catch fire!!!"

When I yelled, the snake began rolling as if its entire body was on fire. Its dark body completely turned green and it stood still.

I grabbed the mob and struck it on the head, and it remained immobile.

I hit its head repeatedly, pulled it outside, and hit it in wrath with stones and woods until its head was completely drenched in blood.

I left it outside, locked the door and went back to meet my sister. I realised that she was sleeping fine. I jolted her awake. When I asked her whether she knew what had happened to her, she said, "I was tied up and thrown in a very dark cage that was buried underground." I tried to break free but couldn't. One man just came up to me and grabbed my hands, and I just appeared on the tôp of the sand where I was bûried, and I woke up

I couldn't believe my eyes.
I was literally out of words.
I just held her hands. We prayed and appreciated the Lord before we returned back to sleep.

When we awoke, I couldn't find the snake, knowing full well that what I did was meant to end it's life. I just left everything in God's hands. I burnt the clothes I wore that night. I also told my parents about it and they prayed over it. This is not fiction pls.

Till now I hardly sleep at night.
And I'm always vigilante

I saw a half human half fish.but she was very calm,she asked"what are you doing here alone"I told her my stories,she said she track me down through the teste of my blood that am washing out from my injured head.

She asked me if I have eaten which I said no,she dive back to the river ,to me I thought she is gone but to my surprise she came back with a very well prepared food.out of hunger I ate the food with joy and appreciated her hospitality.she told to me to come around anytime I want some thing from her.

Before she went back I asked her ,her name she said her name was "LUCY"she dive back to the river.after eating I dozed off,but something iwhen I woked up I saw her sitting beside me in the morning,so when I felt the present of someone around me I sit up and saw her by my side.

She said that am very lucky that her brothers wanted to drag me into their kingdom but she refused them that I should just leave that place (under the bridge) immediately before they returns back.i did as she said.

But she told me that there is something in me that makes her like me,I asked her what it might be she said I don't fear at all.that she loves it.she told me that since his brothers are not happy with me that I should not come around this place that I should go to any river in my land and call her by her name that she will be there.

I left ,when I got home my aunty didn't allow me to enter into the house ,she said that I should go back to where am coming from,that I should go back to my poor family.i started asking her what my offence could be.but something happened immediately I asked her such question

DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?"
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"

DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $100 an hour."
SON: "Oh! (With his head down).
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $50?"

The father was furious.

DAD: "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

DAD: "Are you asleep, son?"
SON: "No daddy, I'm awake".
DAD: "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
SON: "Oh, thank you daddy!"

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

DAD: "Why do you want more money if you already have some?"
SON: "Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.
"Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I want to play with you."

The father was crushed.

He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.

We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

My husband is something else.

So I was in the kitchen cooking, I was just frying meat and chicken and he was in the sitting room watching his movie oo.

I didn't send him work not knowing he has plan in my kitchen.

" Eehn my love, do you need anything, should I help you there?".

" Noo sir don't enter my kitchen cause I don't trust your judgement there with what am doing".

" Aaahaa my love, now that I want to help you, you're doing inyanga. Let me help you on the gas".

I shouted from the visitors room I went to carry something.

" Oga did I send you anything? Don't enter my kitchen oo".

Okay ma, should I help you wash the plates?.

" E ma worry, the help will do those ones, I'm not done cooking so out of my kitchen ooo".

" He chuckled, not knowing he's doing something".

This guy was eating my chicken and meat.

I came out and he jumped out of the kitchen like a rat and his hands oily and mouth.

I looked at him and I didn't say anything, I went straight to the kitchen and when I come out, he was munching something and trying to cover it.

" Eehn sugar, what were you doing in there?".

Aaah me? I was just helping you arranging and putting on the gas for you.

" So why is your mouth dancing like that?".

E mabinu. Ejoor shey I can't play with my mouth again?.

" Wait let me count my meat, I went in and some things had missed. Some two chicken laps and meats has missed".

" Sugar, infact wale. Tell me the truth now, how did the two laps of the chicken missed?".

I carry turning stick. He screamed ewo and was running round the house.

I am telling you that I don't know how it got into my mouth, my love don't do this thing cause you're reminding me of Grandma now oo.

Can I come and help you wash plates?.

As I was about entering the kitchen he screamed.

When you ask your daughter to go to her uncle's house or a neighbour's house either for a visit or to deliver a message and she refuses or starts feeling reluctant, don't be too fast in shouting at her.

When your sister is not comfortable spending the night in the house of your cousin like how other children of your parents do, don't be fast to tag her as antisocial.

When your female course mate is constantly avoiding lectures from a particular male lecturer, don't be fast to tag her as lazy.

When everyone is going to greet the priest or pastor or the reverend after service and this friend of yours is not willing to, don't be too fast in branding her as a possessed girl.

You see, there are many things girls suffer from men that they will never tell you.

So many of them are being abused and molested by so-called uncles, cousins, lesson teachers, and ministers. They won't tell you out of fear, respect, or stigmatization. They are just silently avoiding the person. Sometimes they just expect you to code.

It is the same when a girl (not all girls) is having her menstrual period and she is in pain. . . And she starts telling you that she is not feeling fine. . . Then out of care and concern, you are like, "What is wrong, can I take you to the hospital?" Then she smiles and starts telling you things like, "Don't worry, I will be fine, it is not that serious."

At that point, she expects you to understand. . .

I know there could be many exceptions to this depending on the context and situations. There could also be a situation in which the girl is always running to see her uncle or cousin especially when no one is around. The point of the post is that when your UNDERAGE or teenage girl is NOT COMFORTABLE or TOO COMFORTABLE before a particular male, be it cousin or uncle or pastor, it COULD be a signal to something deeper if you will only handle it maturely and intelligently.
