When the concert was on the big screen last night, I walked over to the back of the room to watch.
I don’t get this often, but something about the lights being turned off, the concert playing, and the vibe in the room brought me back to parties Prince threw back in a day.
I zoned out in it, and tho it was bittersweet, I went with the good, and let it take me back.
I smiled a few times as memories were coming while looking around the room

Really happy to share I’ll be djing at the Diamonds And Pearls Super Deluxe Album Release Party at Paisley Park.
I plan on playing a set only from songs on these records.
It’s a lot of music, so I won’t be able to fit them all, but will try to put together a pretty puzzle.
I’m really excited to hear this music on a Paisley soundsystem 💎

On August 3rd 1983 Prince played a benefit concert for the Minnesota Dance Theatre at First Avenue. He premiered Purple Rain at this show for the first time.
This year marks 40 years since this show took place. First Avenue is throwing a dance party.
They invited a few of us to come dj.
Like in 1983, this 2023 event will benefit the Minnesota Dance Theatre.
I feel honored to play a part in it, and to share stage with these amazingly talented djs.

April 21st will mark 7 years since someone very very special left us. I don’t think I speak just for myself when I say for many of us life stopped in a way. While the pain didn’t get any smaller, we sort of built a new one around it. I feel beyond honored to play music at Paisley Park on this night 🌹

7 years damn it.
It was an exchange about him playing bass on When Doves Cry around 7am one morning. End of a party.
He flipped the track on the fly. Just him and the bass, playing and singing the hell out of it.
I have goosebumps all over again.

I’m a little late with this post, as well as catching on to the game of online music distribution, streaming services etc. . There’s more to it than I thought, but sponging up as much as I can as fast as I can and remembering to take breaks when feeling overwhelmed or anxious. Go Hard, a track Felix Da Housecat, Dave The Hustler and I made, came out on Friday. As I was getting adjusted to seeing my name on places like Apple Music and Spotify, and alongside these 2 producer giants, notifications came that Apple Music picked the tune for 2 of their dance music playlists, Spotify added it to 5, and Beatport added it to their weekend picks. I didn’t process all of it yet, so I just made a reel and typing moment by moment. I know one thing. I love this feeling. I wanna do this all the time. Ok thank you for reading guys 💞

My beloved Jetset bar reopened after 4 long years and I am so happy to share I will play music for you on Friday nights starting today. Jetset Underground is in the old Honey space, and looks and sounds absolutely amazing. Let’s dance 💞

Last night showed me just how much we needed this. Connection, music, dancing, singing, smiling faces. It’s so easy to take things for granted until they are taken away from us. The love, energy, and beautiful words you gave went straight to my heart. I am tearing up as I’m typing this. I appreciate you all so much ❤️

You told me you chose music because you wanted to be free. You said many things. It was rare I was able to stay present and hear you. I wish we could talk now. You had such a brilliant mind. You were so gentle. You were tough yet so vulnerable. You followed your heart always. You never lost your childlike spirit. You never complained. You showed up. You were not afraid. You lived a short life, but you lived on your own terms. You taught me so much. I just realized you taught me freedom. I love you, and I miss you my friend
