He had just purchased school bag for his grand son.He was jovial and smartly dressed a hard bargainer type of customer,i finally gave in to his wish.We talked about skyrocketing prices of second hand goods and negative effect of Kenya shilling depreciation against major world currencies.

During after sale talk,i came to learn about his early years failed attempt to win Rongai constituency member of parliament.He squarely blamed Moi interference which resulted to consecutive losses during 1992 and 1997 general elections.Nevertheless he was proud to belong to young turk Ford members of 90s.

I listened to his political view and general outlook of political undercurrent in our nation. His misinterpretation of historical facts and his fond memories of the towering father of opposition politics,the late Adonijah Jaramogi Ondiga.

He went on to say how Jaramogi then minister of home affairs looked the other way as Kenyan businessmen majority from mountain region benefited from chepkumbe's coffee smuggling from neighbouring Uganda nation.

I listened to his argument and views about the roles of opposition and media in fostering good governance rule of law and advancement of democracy.I finally excused myself to serve another client, he smiled and walked away mysterious just like he had arrived.

Later in afternoon trade Cecm Stephen Kuria, was privileged to attend H.E Susan Kihika consultative meeting at old town hall.The meeting brought together grassroots leaders and Nakuru tenants association leaders from Kivumbini, Kaloneni,Shauri yako,Kimathi, Lumumba,lower Mithonge,Machanga, Flamingo,Ngala,Phase two and Kaloleni.

Trade CECM read through the new affordable rent for all county houses.The elated tenants applauded the move by Governor Susan Kihika of downward rent review which they termed to be timely and affordable.

H.E Governor Promised tenants more engagement and ground tour visit next week. Finally Governor Susan Kihika urged the tenants association leaders to withdraw the court case and give dialogue a chance.

Also in attendance was Deputy Governor David Kones County Secretary Samuel Mwaura, Lands CECM John Kihagi, C.O Martin Kagai Political advisor office of Governor Francis Njogu among others.

The chronicles of Jane and Valentino Salim story.

Adjacent to club Mamba, Valentino ushered Jane to where he had parked his vehicle.Jane was stunned by the sight of Lamborghini Revuelto, a new model of luxurious sport car heavily equipped with powerful V12 engine and latest technology.Throught Jane life, she had never dreamt of being close to someone who own or drive Lamborghini.

Valentino keenly observed her new catch behaviour.Back on his mind he knew she was bewildered by the sight of luxurious sport car.He reached into his pocket for the keys, pressed the button and the door flung open.He pushed clutch and brake pedal to the floor he pressed power start button and the engine was fired up.

Valentino Smiled and put his left hand on Jane chest ,he slowly started to caress her, while driving with one hand.

As soon as he was declared winner of the jackpot suddenly the heaven broke loose.His phone was a buzz with congratulatory messages from friends and foes.

Saimo was a industrious youth who survived by selling all manners of wares in the street of Nakuru.He had a passion for betting and casting lots. His late father was also an avid gambler who used half of his retirement fortune in horse racing betting at popular Nairobi Ngong racecourse.

Trade CECM Hon Stephen Kuria was privileged to attend small business development center (SBDCS) consultative meeting held at Sarova woodland hotel Nakuru. The chief guest was
Cooperative and MSMEs CS Simon Chelugui.

The meeting brought together various task force members among them representative from Strathmore university, USAID, Kenya bankers association, Jua Kali federation, representative from council of governors, representatives from national assembly, international Labour organisation, Italian development agency and GiZ Rep among others.

Trade CECM Stephen Kuria, applauded effort by USAID and Strathmore university to establish SBDC centers in kenya which he affirmed will offer free training in crucial record keeping, create jobs, improve livelihoods and strengthens Kenya competitiveness. He also stated that county government under leadership of H.E Susan Kihika has set aside as office space for establishing SBDCS center in Nakuru.

Other notable speakers who addressed the meeting were as follows, Baringo Governor H.E Chemboi, Laikipia deputy governor Ruben Ngatia, Nyandarua deputy Governor H.E Mathara Mwangi, Hon.Kuria Kimani M.P Molo Elisha Mutuati USAID, Dkt Njenga Strathmore university.

At the height of multiparty crusade, a certain Catholic father in a small parish of Kiria-ini Muranga county emerged to be a thorn in the
flesh to KANU administration.

Charles Kamoro, was known to be fearless, vocal and straight talking priest who was willing to take bull by the horn and rebuke bad leadership, corruption, negative ethnicity and one party dictatorship.

He occasionally delivered fiery sermons which usually rubbed government the wrong way leading to police officers robbing tear gas canisters during the sermon. The fearless priest was often involved in altercation with then secretary general of KANU late Hon.Kamotho who used to castigate him for supporting opposition.

Nevertheless, Father Kamoro remained adamant and resolute in his zeal and funded publication of Inooro newspaper and pamphlet that castigated the regime. Eventully he managed to sway majority of church members leading to Hon.Kamotho resounding defeat
during 1992 general election.

In 1993 father Kamoro was eventually jailed for three years for his involvement in opposition politics. He was finally set free and celebrated 30 years of service in year 2022.

Unforgettable night out happened on December second at club Mamba in Diani Mombasa when a group of college girls gathered to witness live performance of Gun 'N Roses band.The sky was blue with full moon illuminating the earth.The revellers began to arrive, and the excitement was evident by the look of their faces.

Among the college girl, was little Jane, from happy valley. Jane was the fourth child of chief Musa Malema a brilliant girl and a student at coast university. Jane was also a good dancer and choreographer who had a reputation of winning town hall dancing competition.

On that fateful night, Gun n roses band were set to entertain fans of rock music at the popular club Mamba. After winning the much coveted grammy's award for the best rock album.The band embarked on global tour to celebrate and showcase their unique blend of talents amidst surge in popularity.

Sitting on one corner of the club, was a group of three male youths who looked fabulous and wore elegant designer jeans. Jane and her friends sat adjacent to the to elegant looking boy's and ordered for a round of drinks while waiting for the band to appear on stage.

All over sudden,the light went off and the roars of revellers reached a crescendo.With twinkling of an eye,disco light exploded illuminating entire dancing hall.The much anticipated moments had finally come.The first to storm the stage was the Izzy Stradlin, virtuoso lead guitarist, followed closely with the rest of band members.

The crowd went wild, amidst rhythmic beats of rock music. It was at this very moment one of the elegant looking guy winked at Jane and smiled, unaware of what to do next Jane too smiled back. The elegant lad inched closer to Jane and one thing led to another and the bond grew stronger.

The lad introduced himself as Valentino Salim, from Mvita, a student at Gaborone university college of law in Botswana. Valentino was a descendant of famous Italian explorer Giacomo Viari who upon retirement settled in
Malindi. He later remarried a beautiful coastal girl from powerful and noble Mazurui family who gave birth to Valentino father.

Valentino grabbed Jane hand firmly and they both danced menacingly to the beats and fun. Valentino was a great dancer and fast talker who was gifted with snake oil salesman skills. He finally coaxed Jane to sneak out with him and lie to her friend that she wanted to make an emergency call. Jane followed Valentino advice and they both sneaked out under the cover of darkness.

Adjacent to club Mamba,Valentino ushered Jane to where he had parked his vehicle. would turn out well.

Growing up, Jane frequently read about some tragic incidence that happened to naive girls, who got themselves involved with strangers in a one night kind of relationship and ended up regretting for their naivety and recklessness.

Jane also remembered how his parents often warned him to be wary of strangers. Her loving mother Nyakio, was a born again Christian and a staunch supporter of living Godly and Pious life, but here she was, thousands miles away from home at wee hours of the night,heavily intoxicated, with a stranger of Italian descent.

No sooner had they crossed Likoni ferry, Jane gathered enough courage to enquire where they were heading to.Valentino aware of the growing desperation and fear which had engulfed Jane face, reassured Jane that all is well and they were heading to Nyali resort hotel where they would spend the rest of the night.

All over sudden Jane turned violent and commotion ensued that lasted for close to five minutes.Valentino was seething with rage and he quickly grabbed Jane hair shook his head violently as the car veered off the road nearly falling into nearby ditch.He pressed the red button and the console box opened. He drew his ceska pistol and pointed to Jane head.

Jane screamed loudly and begged Valentino to spare his life.Valentino rage had reached boiling point he hastily unlocked Lamborghini door and shoved her aside untill he hit the ground hard.Valentino speed off from the scene leaving Jane badly injured in the middle of the highway................................................

Peeping through the window of equatorial tower in juba, Kioni was elated by steady progress the newest capital city in the world was basking under since the days of Egyptian occupation that lasted for more than a hundred years.

Established by Egyptians in year 1862 as an army garrison, during the reign of Isimail of pasha. Juba city witnessed astronomical growth with signing of comprehensive peace agreement which declared juba as the capital city and commercial hub of South Sudan.

Kioni like the rest of east Africans, could not resist allure of striking fortune in a far flung areas . But what surprised him most, was that everyone had similar thoughts.Juba in a short span of time experienced a sporadic rise of population resulting to housing problems.

The arrivals of Ethiopians and Somalians resulted in fierce competition in every sector of business, negating the earlier gains leading to shrinking of profits margins.Juba dreams was quickly turning into nightmare with each passing day. But the irony of the matter was with breaking of a new dawn Kampala coach and EcoCoach would drop hundreds if not thousands of new visitors.

Apart from business interests, unknown to many Juba was also safe heaven from fugitives who had ran away from long arm of the law.The others group composed of individuals who had faced backlash and were banished by members of their own clans due to committing felony against their own kith and kin aware of the resentment and boiling rage coupled with fear of retribution they found a save haven in Juba.

Among the fugitive was Captian Sheba who escaped by narrow whisker police dragnet following botched bank robbery. Nakuru county Governor H.E Susan Kihika has dispelled fear of possible ejection of PSV ( matatu) in CBD. This was said during closed door meeting that took place at governor's office hall involving matatu Sacco's chairmen and H.E Susan Kihika.The county boss termed those spreading propaganda as political opponents who are out to settle cheap political points.

The county boss, also took swipe with those spreading propaganda of possible demolition of county houses as busy bodies and malicious individuals who are out to sell fear and anxiety to the residents. H.E Susan Kihika said that county government is looking for a possible waiver for all rent arrears which is owed by residents in county government house s.

Later on H.E Governor embarked on meet the people tour in various matatu stages in C.B.D where the residents received the entourage with jubilation.The Governor was flanked by Deputy Governor H.E David Kones, County secretary D.R Samuel Mwaura,Chief of Staff Peter Kityenye, Trade CECM Stephen Kuria, Trade C.O Samuel Ndegwa,C.O Martin Kagai political advisor Francis Njogu and municipal board member chairman MR.Muli among others.

Among the outstanding and remarkable achievement H.E Governor Susan Kihika is on the verge of accomplishing is revival of agribusiness sector in Nakuru county.The county boss has shown keen interest in matters of profitable farming venture that will replace traditional subsistence farming enabling farmer to improve their livelihood through increased farm output and increased returns from crops and animal husbandry.

The renewed vigour in searching for a solid partnership both locally and internationally in matters of agribusiness has started to bear fruits.The Bio food and kentegra partnership in daily farming and pyrethrum respectively is a clear statement of how farmers in Nakuru County stand to benefit from such noble initiatives.

They all quit teaching career to concentrate on music, George wanjaro, Njoroge Benson and Muhiko nebster all of them deceased.Their passion for music drove them to quit noble teaching profession and ventured into music career.

Unlike George wanjaro,who excelled in traditional Kikuyu Benga songs. Njoroge Benson and Muhiko attempted to introduce a new genre of music that borrowed heavily from afro beat, a popular genre which was credited to Nigerian legend Fela Kuti.The release of Gichichio wi maheni by Njoroge Benson marking the start, Muhiko followed suit in 1997 with Mwiri ni mahua which ruled the airwaves and received popular air play in radio station.

However untimely death of Njoroge Benson would cut short his dream of fusion of Kikuyu Benga songs with modern Afro beats. Muhiko later switched to a familiar Kikuyu gospel song, where he enjoyed a long stellar career. Untill emergence of Kwame rigii and Ayrosh the attempt of Njoroge Benson and Muhiko nebster was on it's way to fizzle out succumbing to popular mugithi genre.

In his speech, trade CECM outlined plans by county government under leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika which will result in financial inclusion of registered members of Nakuru beauty association. Lastly he implored upon association members to keep up with the latest trends in beauty industry so that remain relevant and competitive in the lucrative beauty industry.

Nakuru county continue to live true to it's slogan as a county of unlimited opportunity. This was revealed today by Belgium Ambassador to Kenya H.E Peter Maddens who lead a high delegation meeting in Lake Naivasha resort involving Belgium investors, businessmen and manufactures who were on a mission to explore areas of investment and partnerships in the field of agriculture, SMEs health, manufacturing and tourism.

In his speech the Belgium Ambassador lauded Nakuru county government under leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika, for it's spirited effort to attract foreign investment and for establishing a forum whereby Belgium investors and Nakuru members of chamber of commerce can interact and exchange ideas.

Nakuru county representative MR. Mahu Macharia presented keynote speech outlining various investment opportunities in Nakuru county.He cited that availabilities of vast arable land, favourable weather, wide electricity connectivity, rich flora and fauna, natural lakes, wildlife park and geysers as some of unique features that make Nakuru county ideal place for investment.

It's ironical that United nation general assembly this year clarion call is focusing on rebuilding trust through dialogue.My concerns lies with hypocrisy of global leaders who are speaking from both sides of the mouth.Talking about peace in the day during the general assembly meeting while retreating at night to plan and strategize for war.

It's a shame that the current world leaders, continue to turn a blind eyes on suffering of innocent people's and wanton destruction of property all in the name of winning futile war. Why can't the so called global leaders call for temporary cease fire and silencing of guns and immediate return to table of dialogue?

Lastly to Russia and Ukraine the so called allies might turn out to be your greatest enemy's. From those supplying arms to Ukraine in the name of offering a helping hand, up to those buying oil at a discounted price from Russia in the guise of assisting Russia escape harsh economic restrictions imposed by the west.Their action are adding fuel to fire.

In conclusion, the true patriots from Kyiv and Moscow, must rise up and pursue peace and truce, not because both state are too exhausted to fight, but because war is bad in essence- Mahatma Gandhi.

Back in 2004 major events was happening around the country and from neighbouring country Bongo Flava was sweeping across the region taking over from Kenyan hip hop music. Behind the scenes Ali kiba was upstaging big names including Mr nice of the famous fagilia wote song.The guy from Kigoma region, northwest of Tanzania was highly gifted with euphonious voice and powerful lyrics which attracted fans to fall in love with his music.Till today, twenty years down the line Ali kiba is still going strong and history will judge him fairly as an artist who popularized Bongo Flava beyond the lakeside town of Tanzania.

It was in the month of May 1997 to February 1998, the first time many of my generation witnessed the El-lino weather phenomenon.
The period was marked by heavy downpour of rain,landslides, massive soil erosion, thunderstorm and lightning, power outages, major rivers bursting its banks and wetlands springs were common occurrence.

Bridges were washed away,roads severely damaged and deaths by drowning and massive displacement of people as by floods was reported throughout the country.It was a period marked with horror and destruction as results of great deluge. Torrential rain could sometimes last for 18 hours non stop and dramatic outbreak of Nairobi fly was reported with painful blisters and skin rashes to those who were affected.

Many looked forward to the day rain will subsides and sunlight will shine again ending prolonged period of precipitation.It was a period of long wait and anxiety. On the positive side bumper harvest for food crops was reported throughout the country.

The whole issue of climate change was a hoax, meant to hoodwink the less developed nations into buying idea of adopting clean energy at the expense of non renewable energy.

The western elite with powerful link to ruling elite and policy makers managed to convince leaders of US and EU to stop funding extraction of fossil fuel and coal.The end result has seen skyrocketing of global crude oil price which is having devastating effects on developing world economy.

President Donald J.Trump was right in his remarks supporting increasing of drilling and extraction of crude oil which was meant to halt unprecedented spikes in oil price.The global leaders should converge and adopt the best measures to salvage the dire situation which if left unchecked has a potential to wreck havoc on developing word economy and cause untold suffering and political turmoil.

Other measures such as temporary removal all trade embargoes which have been imposed on oil rich nations such as Venezuela,Libya, Sudan Russia ,Yemen and Beralus should also be on the table of discussion.

Finally, i support the idea behind formation of BRICKS+ alliance and it's agenda of offering alternative leadership and it's quest to challenge USA and west allied hegemony which I believe is the root cause of sudden surge of global oil price hike.

The predicament that befell on Denis mutara life and which according to word on the street is attributed to joining a Kikuyu cult popularly referred to as Gwata Ndai has left many in state of shock and disbelief.From a staunch Christian believer to traditional practitioner of bizarre cult, Denis mutara has fallen from grace to grass.But all is not lost and Mutara can pick up the pieces and rebuild his life again by denouncing his deeply held traditional cult and embrace the true Christianity.

Is democracy taking backward peddle in Francophone Africa? What is causing military coup d'etat and violent overthrow of democratically elected leadership? Are we witnessing the end of France grip in mineral
rich West Africa nation?

Here is my take, on controversial subject which is threatening to take Africa nations back to the days of military regime leadership.

The Continuous presence of France military personnel and support for dictatorial regime by Paris establishment and systematic failure of West Africa nations to conduct free,fair and credible election is fueling anger among the citizenry which inturn is boiling over resulting in uprising and eventually violent take over of government by military.

Another burning concerns is inability of West Africa nation political leaders to offer good leadership and utilise the vast minerals wealth to improve livelihood of it's citizens.This causes anger and resentment among the populace resulting in uprising.

Finally current status of geopolitics, which is fuelled by China and Russia alliance which offer support for military regimes and provide alternative market for minerals which inturn is helping the military regimes escape harsh restrictions and trade embargo imposed by west and US.

To many, Wagner chief yevgeny prigozhin was a demagogue,mercenary,mass murderer and terrorist who killed innocent people and waged an unnecessary war in pursuit of power and desire for material gain. While to others, he was a liberator reminiscent of Che Guevara, who wanted to free oppressed people from France,UK and USA domination. His death will certainly be a big blow to Wagner foreign fighters in Niger,Sudan,Libya and Ukraine.
He was hated and loved on a equal measure but one thing is clear,prigozhin was not a coward.

From political conscious urban hip-hop,to explicit and gangster hip-hop. Evolution of Kenyan urban hip-hop has seen major shake up, with various hip-hop artist marking different eras. Ever since Kalamashaka, Ukoo flani emerged from the scene with new genre of urban hip-hop,Kenyan youths in hoods found a means of expression through rapping of lyrics with sheng dialect .Ukoo flani group of Kamaa, Roba and vingeti were inspired by Tupac Shakur style of hip-hop music that focused on social justice.The style resonated well with majority of youths from sprawling slums of Nairobi such as Dandora,Majengo and Mathare.After hitting the airwaves and getting recognition from all parts of East Africa their star started fading away eventually hitting rock bottom.With Kalamashaka out of the scene.
